My friend sold his parents’ house to a property flipper, and I didn’t want to see this 1970s TV/radio combo get chucked when the kitchen was inevitably redone, so I asked if I could take it and he said yes!

The kitchen is a time warp...

 

The oven was replaced in 1990, the stove was replaced in the last 20 years so, and I’m pretty sure the dishwasher is not original, but almost everything else in the house including the kitchen cabinets and countertops is 40-50 years old...

 

The oven is from 1990...

 

The house was built in about 1968 and this Mercury exhaust fan was probably installed sometime in the 1970s...




Fully operational, but likely to end up in the dumpster when the house is renovated...

 

Scored a new, never-used, still-in-the-box microwave oven for my office at work!

 

Renovations have already begun on the house...

 

One of two ceiling fans upstairs that has to be at least forty years old and is still fully operational...

York central air-conditioner installed in the early 1980s (house did not originally have central air)...

 

The original gas furnace died, so my friend’s parents installed a complete York system in the early 1980s; This is the gas furnace that still sort of works...

The garage was converted into an extra room in the 1980s, and a detached 2-car garage with a finished room above it was built...

 

As of right now, last month's parking lot encounter in Hellertown does not appear to have shown up on my truck's Carfax!

 

That’s a complete gut job. Hope the just clean up the outside and don’t do a complete demo and re build

 

So you hope they DO salvage the house? They are definitely NOT tearing it down; some leaks but structure is solid...
