Is it possible breather tube broke & debri entered the enclosure shorting it out ? I’ve read other posts about water entering the actuator & frying it.
It doesn’t look to be a very robust control if that’s the case.

Hate to be a bust but my A-trac has worked fine all these years. Now I was not like the guy in #9 post or OP but have been stuck and its worked to get me out without having to get out of the truck and do some manual labor.
I think people push things to far especially with suspension and shit happens. Life:D

    :smack: JK...:)

I wonder if the OP drove anywhere near that salt water, those actuators are notoriously susceptible to water damage after a water crossing, and sea water is the worse.

Edit: But then by breaking the breather tube, Yeah we have certainly been done by the way it was driven.

People who think like the OP is why I don't wave to other owners.
OP: waaaaaaa.... I broke my truck offroading and Toyota won't warranty my silly actions.

And.... apparently some other people who posted agree! Apparently the concept of personal responsibility has been forgotten as has the "you play you pay" rule as well.
But it seems that "I saw somebody do shit on the internet so I should be able to do it too" concept is alive and well.

If people would just think.... just actually think... about shit for two seconds, the world would be a better place. I refuse to think the world has become dumb

So what you’re saying is, some people who off-road without thinking things through may have actually been responsible for having their rear ends self-grenade or even being pulled comply off? That and all the other great instances of DWD we’ve seen here and all over the Internets?

I agree, the way you drive your truck certainly means there is a degree of responsibility with it if something breaks.

Your in FL, how well do you think your 2wd would do where I live and have had days with over 36" of snow in a day ? They had to pull snowplows off the road because visibility was 0. I don't remember thinking on my way home from work I wished I had got a 2wd !!!

As shitty as this is......the damage is on you.

Toyota can't warranty how the truck will be used.

    Good luck.

I not trying to be a dick but it's on Toyota for being so damn greedy and not spending a few cents extra per truck to have the part be made of something stronger than cheap ass plastic !!! You should be fine driving around your local mall parking lot.

Sure is, I used to live in Palm Harbor so I know exactly how warm it is there. Use to love those beautiful summer days when you could fry an egg on the hood of your truck. Snowmobiling down there was less than amazing also but when I get elderly I might think about going back after all it's working out ok for you right ?
