Got my frame recall done today. The techs left this on the seat:

They're from a 2009 G37 coupe.

 

Nice! How hard was that upgrade?

Now that we've gotten glimpse, show us the rest of that interior. The center console looks like Sulu's control panel onboard the Enterprise - what's going on there?

Thanks dude... really happy with that mod. Actually surprisingly easy to do. Tested the seats first by hooking them up to a spare battery, everything worked... I had just guessed which wires required 12V and which required ground. Didn't think that would actually work but it did.

Physically mounting them also went really well. Just needed a few fancy spacers and I made some new "feet" to adapt the stock rails. Three of the bolt holes lined up perfectly without any modifications.

The electrical was an exercise in skill-testing logic, installed fuses for the motors, relays, and heaters. Everything is under that panel where the cupholders used to be, including a fuse block and ground bus (except for a big master breaker right by the battery). The seat belt clip just bolted to the seats where the Nissan clips once were, and I connected the seat belt warning dinger on the stock Tacoma harness, but only on the driver's side - the passenger side I left disconnected and there were no problems.

Built new harnesses for the new seats that plugged right in, including a voltage regulator for heaters.

Really happy with how it turned out, the seats are sporty, comfortable, and very cuppy on my ass. Not that, you know, I'm into that sort of thing in any other situation.

Here you go... highlights are the switch panel, red switches are e-fan, water/meth stage 1, water/meth stage 2, and oil accumulator solenoid valve.

Blue switches are seat power and seat heaters.

Shift knob is billet titanium (custom fabricated by yours truly).

Wheel is a fake Nardi - but man it's good quality. Very durable. Five stars would recommend.

Stickers are covering dings in the dash on the passenger side.

I'm glad they went and did the frame swap for you. And Infiniti? Dude. You're breaking my heart. Lol. Hey, but great job on making those things fit!

I would at least scribble out the Infiniti logo from those awesome chairs. I wouldn't want any Nissan products under my name.

Had a 2.7 smooth flow pulley engraved with OE numerics but the guy messed up using aluminum black touch up coating. I guess it oxidizes metals but was having a strange time with the pulley. Not sure he cleaned it right. The engraving was really nice too lol. Too bad. I ended up wet sanding. Looks more used and dull though. The pulley is fine, but maybe an excuse to go smaller? Hah

 

I'm glad I don't have to worry about that Commifornia stuff (yet). Get it powdercoated black - would cover the black touchup and sanded look, while making it even more incognito.

 

Don't worry. It's not really a thing. I just wanted to keep it uniform (in case) since smog here is star cert. Visual and monitor test.

The wet sanding took it down pretty flat. I'll probably have to engrave it a 2nd time to powdercoat. Next pulley.

Granted, it's got more aftermarket parts than Nissan parts now. People may have their reservations about Nissan (although @12TRDTacoma might be the only person I've ever met who does lol) But at least it's not Mitsubishi. Or Chrysler.
