There something about a Ram on 40’s that’s really got me interested at the moment. 676BA1D9-280D-4F85-9E80-E55446D9289A.jpg

where are you located? I can scan them and tell you what battery is failing. Either that or you can eliminate the light altogether

Yessss, if i was to go full-size it’d be a prospector. I’ll be hanging onto the Tacoma as a forever truck though, it can fit in a lot of places a full-size can’t

I sold my 2015 DCSB TRD OR Auto with 66k miles for $33,750, but it was TRD supercharged and had many OEM upgrades to where it was a Pro clone. I priced it to make the sale easy for me as I had already ordered a new truck. Had a buyer within 3 hours, you can see the thread below:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sold-2015-supercharged-trd-or-pro-clone-for-sale.685662/

As mentioned, most mods don’t add value, but the trucks do hold their value very well. Search what similar model, year and miles are going for on the market and price accordingly. If looking to stay with Toyota, Toyota of Kirkland offered a reasonable trade value and would buy it outright even with no trade, but then you lose the 10% tax credit making it less appealing.

If you're gonna sell, now's the time. Used vehicle prices are through the roof and everything is selling quickly

It would fun to build one. Since all of our travel plans are on an indefinite hold a full-size seems like a better long distance rig than my taco.

I’ll check out Toyota of Kirkland for sure. I’m just really on the fence about which way to go. Tundras are nice but so dam thirsty.

    Part out/return to stock sale?

Yeah the crewmax tundra's with their 36gallon tank seem to take forever to hit E, but the price shock at the pump is a killer. At least from my experience in the week or so I had a loaner.. :bananadead:

New Tundra is due out next year, so if going that route I'd consider waiting as the current one is very dated. If it is a primary vehicle I wouldn't look to sell until you know for sure what you want to replace it.

My friend has a 2015 crewmax and that biatch only gets 14 mpg on average. That 36 gallon fill up comes way to quickly. Everything else about it is really nice though.

Back when Nissan was trying out the 5.0 Cummins it was a joint venture with Toyota. That was the tundra I wanted. I am curious to see what power train they end up rolling out though.

my biggest regret with my Cali raised angled sliders is they don’t stick out enough so I’m thinking of cutting all 4 pipes connecting from the slider to the frame and welding an extra 3 inches of DOM tubing to each pipe ideally to push the slider outward 3 inches, my question is will the welds in the middle of the pipe compromise the strength?

I'd think you'd want to "sleeve" the inside so the welds aren't taking the stress

Will do! also thinking of going a little overkill and sleeving the outside welds as well with some 1/8in steel sheets to give it that extra bit of support

Just replace the tubes all together. If you are adding that much your sleeve has to extend well past the joint. It wouldn’t be that much more $ in pipe.

    Hey Guys,

Longtime lurker, first time poster. Looking for some input, finally pulled the trigger on a suspension kit for the Taco plus new wheels and tires. This is my first truck/vehicle in general. Not really sure what a reasonable price is for a suspension install by a local shop.

Parts to install for Fox Trail Kit Stage 3 plus mounting the wheels and tires:
    BFG KO2's 265/75/r16 with Method 301s
    Total Chaos UCA's
OME Dakar Heavy duty leaf springs w/bushings and UBolts
    Extended Coilovers
    Rear reservoir shock

Was quoted by a shop for $1400+tax. Does that sound reasonable for all that's included? Appreciate any input, thanks!

Do you have a driveway a jack and some tools? It’s really very straight forward to swap suspension components. YouTube is your friend. That sounds pretty steep to me price wise.

I'm usually the type of person to try and just YouTube things but yeah I don't really have the tools/setting to pull this off on my own. So I'd prefer to go a shop local to Seattle area. Thought 1400 was a bit steep as well.
