If someone wanted to play with my booty hole I'd wax it for them.

    I'm a classy broad.

Not that any of you care but my race went pretty well by my standards.

Because of COVID the course had to be changed. Used to be a point to point race with a bus shuttle but they had to make it a loop race so no shuttling everyone in a jam packed bus.
The course was not clearly marked and the aid station folks werent really taking their jobs seriously. So they werent standing at critical junctions. Also due to a reduction in people you run alone more and thus you don’t have the sheep effect where you just follow everyone else.
The course was a figure 8. I crossed the 8 at the wrong point. I went 2.5 miles without seekng a person so I knew I was fucked, but I was on the marked course so I stuck with it.
I show up at the next aid station to people cheering “You are in first place!”
Yeah no I’m not. They got me back on course.

By mile 12 there was a group of guys that were wigging out about not knowing where to go. They got off course by a couple miles as well. I kept asking folks as they passed what their GPS said so I knew how far ahead I was. Almost everyone said “well I got lost so it says X but its Y miles off”.

I allowed myself to get flustered when I first got lost so I started hauling ass... fried my legs. This course had 5,000ft of elevation gain throughout so hilly AF. I walked a third of the race.

Some dipshit at the second to last aid station told me 3.5 more miles! Which put me at 32.5 miles total... fuck.

The downhills destroyed me. I was shaking so bad I knew if I fell I’d be in trouble.

I did fall... on my shoulder and my face... but its not a trail run till you eat shit right? All part of the experience.

I was in a pain cave I didn’t get out of the last ten miles.

I find the strength the start shuffling mile 27. A whole 16 minutes per mile. My left knee getting tighter and tighter. Only 3 miles left right? I got this!

I made it to the final aid station (the aid station congratulating me for my historic lead lap 1). 2 miles after the asshole tells me 3.5 more. Mile 29.8. I looked the aid station guy dead in the eyes. “Be honest with me, how many miles to the finish and don’t lie”

    “totally honest 3.8 miles left”

Me: “I’m going to run up this access road until my watch hits 30.1, then I fucking quit”.

I do it. Come back. They pull me up a chair and a beer. We bullshit for a minute until someone drives me to the end.

The guy who drove me back was the guy who marked the course. He asked me where I got lost and I said at the dam split (haha it was at the lake dam) he was PISSED! Said someone was supposed to be standing there! And I said no one was there.
He was having a shitty day because so many people got lost.

But the aid station folks were so nice and supportive. They were like congrats on finishing! You did it! No one said the word DNF. They knew I miss looped the course.

At the finish I talked to the race director. I said I was a DNF so don’t go looking for my body on the course (always let someone know you bail on the course, they do track that). I showed him my watch gps and said “Hey because of COVID, you guys allow virtual racers... can I submit this 50km virtually?”

Hes like “hell yeah! Its 50k!”

All in all good day. My husband ran his first official half today and survived 2500ft of vert gain to do it. I did the distance but didn’t cross the cool finish line.

This race marked the end of this years ultra season. I’m tired mentally and physically. I will be taking a month off and then I’m going back to powerlifting. First week of Dec I am going to run some cycles of Wendler to add some mass back to my legs.

    30.1 miles 7:54:30 :bananadead:

@Supra TT on my drive home I passed a new car I’d never seen before. Saw the Toyta symbol on the hood. The new 2021 Supra. Hot car.

240 log and a 575dl. Missed 600, been aiming for a 600lb dl from the floor for over a year and couldn’t even get it from wagon wheel height today.
