So, my MGM 2011 DCSB 6spd TRD Sport has finally arrived at the dealership, just before closing today. The Sales Manager says that they will have it in for an "inspection and service" and to have my accessories installed (which are only window visors and floor mats) and have the undercoating and rust/fabric protection done and she'll be ready for pick up! He says either tomorrow evening or Thursday! IM SO STOKED it's not even funny!

I had to start a thread for this, just for shiats and giggles... and will probably have another one when I pick it up :p

Thanks all! I'm pretty excited.. first brand new vehicle, and first major purchase for me.

I'm not sure if they'll honor the rebate or not, I'll ask them though. It should have been ready for pick up already, but there was a "delay" in shipping... maybe that's just their way of buying time so they don't have to do the rebate. I didn't hear or read anything about a free 2 year service offer.. maybe they don't do it in Canada? I'll ask them about the rebate when I go to get it :)

Congrats man! How long you think you'll stay stock? I know when I got mine brand new about 4 months ago, I was gonna stay stock for a while. Now, 4 months later, I've got new wheels and tires, retro stripes, new grill, bed toolbox, and quite a good bit of audio equipment thrown in there.

Enjoy your ride. Hey, is Interior Motorcycles still around up there? They were somewhere in Kamloops. I use to buy RZ500 parts from them all the time. Nice guys.

I wouldn't be able to stand it. I would be camped out at the dealer making sure no one touched it.

I've never had a vehicle of mine stay stock for longer than two weeks, though I think that with a brand new 2011, it will stay stock for a while. At least until the novelty of the "new ride" wears off. I'll probably do a 3" lift and some sort of wheel/tire combo for next summer, along with a Grillcraft or Satoshi (depending on inspiration). Audio equipment may be coming shortly after Christmas, but I haven't been able to really test the stereo in it yet. Audio always seems to be the first upgrade I do, and usually consists of a new headunit, front components and a small sub/amp. We will see though!

I've heard of Interior Motorcycles, but have never gone there. I don't have a bike so I have no need. All of my buddies who have bikes deal with RTR Performance (KTM/Honda), Rivercity Cycle (Suzuki/Husq) and Yamaha.

    Careful...it's like crack...or worse smack...

Take this advice from an old new vehicle addict:

small doses my friend...or you'll end up like me, strung out on the stuff. :D

for a while I was doin' one...sometimes two new ones a year.

Wish I would have done smaller doses...smoked or snorted...and stayed away from the new car needle. :D

    btw...gl w/ the new truck...enjoy
