I could have probably sold this set for $250 "good for one more winter" because there are people out there that will run them bald and then some.... probably would have if I had new ones going on

Yikes, those kinds of people scare me. I don't touch used tires over 4 years and won't touch ones with any kind of uneven wear. New tires aren't that spendy that I'm willing to be uncomfortable or fight the truck.

 

The rougher neighborhoods here are like that. I went to school with dudes who had literally driven the tires bald. Completely slick. You could only know the make from the sidewall. They couldn't afford anything else. Still see it around sometimes. These are not even that old, DOT 17 or 18
