Damn that oxy/acetylene set up is sweet. Probably the nicest cart I've ever seen.

When I made that torch cart I had an old portable welder and would load it in the bed of my truck if I needed to go somewhere. I was just getting started in acquiring mobile welding tools of my own. I didn’t have a second torch for mobile yet so I made the cart where I could take the tray off with the turn of a screw and set it in the cab if I needed too and not spill my stuff loading and unloading.

    Story time.

I have two torches I bought many years ago. Both were cheap kits from northern tool. I used them a lot. Few years ago a guy came by the store with a load of stuff and had a nice Harris torch with gauges, hose, and cart. No bottles. I bought it all for $75. Sold the cart for $90, traded out the nice gauges and torch with the ones on my portable set up and sold my northern set. Here’s the gauges, the torch is in a toolbox on the trailer.

Back this summer a friend called me and ask was I interested in this old Hobart welder and this torch his brother in law had when he died. I bought it all for $150 not knowing if any of it worked. Sold the welder to the mechanic friend across the street for $300, traded out the torch gauges and head for my other northern set in the shop and traded him the torch and bottles for a valve cover job on my Tacoma. The bottles were way out of date and I didn’t need any of it. It was a nice set of gauges and head though. I kept one of the drop cords too.

So you're one of those guys that all the good stuff for cheap lands in your lap. Let me get a piece of that horse shoe you carry around.

Not that it's a bad thing. I'm always the one that doesn't have the cash or something happens to where I can't at the time. Although I did have said horseshoe up my ass on that huge haul of part out I got that was worth every penny.
