Why do you "feel the need" to keep an expired one?

x2. I’ve been googling all weekend and checking in to see if anyone found it. No luck yet. Not usually a roof rack guy, but this one is interesting.

It looks like you can fit a large one is that place. The one I have is just an inexpensive one from the Wmart. It says size I: class B/C.

That truck is rad too... lunar, cement, and Calvary are it.

I guess I don’t worry about fire as much as I should. And so I forget about it...

I totally agree with you about equal treatment though. Will be great when we all come together on that.

Pretty straightforward. You need to do some minor drilling (two holes) with a Forstner bit to mount to the frame under the scoop, but other than running the wire as invisibly as possible there's nothing complex about it

    Nice work Zim!
Maybe allow for one suggestion - add a small bend in the wires just before they hit the grommets going into the shell.

IF you have enough slack that is. The bottom of that bend will offer a place for rain (any moisture) to drip off and not work it's way into the grommet. Doesn't apply going down the highway of course.
The grommets you used are perfect for stopping chaffing, but water will get past them through capillary action.
The bend I suggest won't stop all of it, but it will sure lessen the amount of water trying to overcome the grommets.
    I like your set-up!

    Traded it in.
Oddly enough it was for about 2 years. It didn't fit on my last truck (F150) but I didn't want to get rid of it. Fits perfectly now.
