Hello. I have a formerly Canadian 2016 Tacoma. I purchased it in the US. The MPH, MPG & outside temp to F° have been switched. The climate control seems to be a separate thing and still reads in Celsius. I can't find the trick to go to Fahrenheit. The owners manual, other forums, nor the local Toyota dealer have provided any help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don’t know the answer to your question but the easiest solution is to just learn the conversion from celsius to fahrenheit. Another easy option is to just treat it like any other vehicle and turn the temp up or down based on whether you want to be warmer or colder and ignore what the number says.

Low is great when it’s hot. High is great when it’s cold. 25 is pretty nice when you’ve warmed up or cooled down.

    still no fix for this?

I saw a post on this before from somebody. They had a dealer look into it and couldn't figure it out either. I am in Canada but use F as I grew up in the US. Fortunately my SR5 lacks the dual zone display.

Same situation as op. I have found some info on other vehicles, including a Toyota Avalon, where holding a combination of two hvac control buttons would toggle the temp units, but the same button combination does not exist on my 2016 Tacoma and I've tried a bunch of other random combinations with no success. Anyone figured this out yet?

Same situation here. I bought a 2016 Tacoma that the dealer got at auction from Canada. I trust the dealer having bought several vehicles from them and got a great deal on it (very low miles). The Celsius dual climate wasn't a deal breaker and I've gotten used to converting in my head. However, I assume that replacing the dual climate control with a unit out of a US vehicle from eBay (approx. $300) won't solve this? My assumption is that it is controlled by the computer and not built into the control panel. I've also tried several button combos, using my ODB computer, etc.

It's become less and less of a deal as I have owned the truck. 18C is comfortable in summer, 21-22C in the heart of winter.

I went through the head unit settings/options and also the diagnostic mode for the head unit. There was a metric/imperial units option but it was for distance stuff for gps and vehicle speed. Nothing for temp. I also went through the gauge cluster info screen settings and switched that to °F, but it only switched the units for outside temp on that info screen, not on the climate control panel. I also went through techstream a couple times now and could not find any way to change the climate control settings besides the auto function for A/C. I suspect the temp setting is an internal function of the Air-conditioning amplifier (climate control unit) and can only be changed through that unit. I plan to change the head unit to a factory Android auto type eventually, hopefully next spring/summer, and while I have things pulled apart for that, I'll see if there is any dip switch or something on the air-con amplifier to change units. I'm not very hopeful, though, add I think that would be known by some of that were the case.

There is probably a hidden menu within the AC control unit we don't know about. For instance, to see the air conditioner DTC's you press and hold Auto + Recirc then turn ignition on until it starts flashing numbers on the AC screen. Those numbers are the codes it's throwing. 00 means it's good to go. To scroll through the DTC's, increase the driver's side temp. To clear the DTC's you just press and hold side mirror defrost and normal defrost until cleared.

I've tried other combinations to no avail though.

The temp setting in the head unit doesn’t work. Apparently it’s quite cold out today :anonymous:

I don't remember, there were at least two different ones I found after some Google searching. Nothing worked on mine.

There was a similar thread around a year ago. Consensus then was it can't be done.
