I feel like someone is playing a joke on all of us by having put the exhaust crossover as the lowest point.
This was a couple of weeks ago. Full @CBI Offroad Fab skids and @ragofabrication LCA skids in hand, need to paint and mount.

Do you mean this thread in particular? or just the forum in general? I lurk this thread pretty heavily for window shopping ideas, and I don't really remember coming across guns in it.

If you're talking about the guy who posted the molle panel with his FDE G19 holstered to it, well....this is a truck mod thread. And the molle panel was a legit modification. Could he have not posted his G19 with it? Sure.

But, by the same token, there's probably a 100 mods posted each week, and maybe one or two of them ever involve guns. People are constantly posting their new wheels, suspensions, paint jobs, paint-protecting detailing jobs, welding work involving roof racks and what not, power distribution systems, light set ups.

Mods involving no guns whatsoever probably outnumber gun posts 100 to 1.

For real though. While checking out the damage I wasn't expecting it to be on my muffler. That's when I noticed it was slightly lower than the other parts I was more concerned about!

I agree! Pinstripes and scars instead of keeping it in my garage all the time :)

I'm just waiting for someone to post them mounting a minigun that carries so much ammo it needs new wheels, beefed up suspension, (cant really think of why you need a paint job for this one, sorry), paint protection from the gunshot residue, welding for the mounting of it onto the roof rack, power distribution because I'm sure a minigun has to pull some amps, and of course light so you can see what you are shooting at when it's dark out. Until then, all gun posts will be a disappointment to me.....

Has someone figured out how to re-route so the crossover is NOT the lowest point of impact?

Three are a few options. Nothing bolt on that's Cali legal.
Most of the custom options look like they might end up with excesses heat where it shouldn't be.

Spent the afternoon "machining" some o-track rails for my bed. They had them at fleetfarm, so I grabbed a pair. Turned out they were just too wide to fit in the recessed parts of the bed and I didnt want them sticking up on the top parts of the ribs. So I grabbed my trusty router, a 45 degree chamfer bit and the shop vac (aluminum shaving flying everywhere).

Now that I know they fit after I shave off the corners, Im going to grab 2 more along with a few of the 12 inch sections too. I know I could of gotten some online that fit correct the first time, but there are $35 each and available locally.

I also replaced the big bulky clamps for my bed basket with little 1 inch U bolts. The big clunky ones prevented my plano boxes from fitting flat in the rack.

If the thing a user “Did To Their 3rd Gen Today” is add an accessory to hold their firearm? This Canadian has zero issue with them posting about it in this thread.
