Could always make a trip out to Colorado to buy from @NYCO if you’re too impatient to wait for a new one.

I was scrolling through the thread, saw your post, and thought "damn this guy has the exact same truck as me". Wait, it is me lol thanks for the tent. Hopefully testing it out tomorrow.

I saw that. Dont have the cash right now. Id rather wait.

The website said builds start 9/2021. Then when i went to add to cart it says 6/2021. Either way, im doing it soon.

Do you have an idea on the actual build time after it goes into production? Im asking because I also just got engaged, and I want to time pickup before or after October 2021.

Mine took 7 weeks from production start to complete. As of right now it seems like that’s the best case scenario timeline. But that could go either way by the time your production start comes around. They’re constantly trying to speed up the timeline. It also depends on what options you pick as they like to do common builds in batches. It seems that mid-size trucks get knocked out fairly quick whereas full size trucks see a bit longer wait time until they have a large batch of the same size to build.

That is way better than the threads that ive found! The reason for me waiting was to save up a bit, which is why the longer timeframe was better. Obviously I'd also want it sooner too.

Another question, do they come standard with the rear facing door on the tent part? I couldn't find that anywhere. My build options wouldn't be anything extra or custom, so i feel like that might speed things up. Im just still deciding on colors. Theres so many, and so few at the same time haha

Yeah, like I said, 7 weeks seems to be the fastest production timeline I’ve seen and I just happened to be one of the lucky ones with that timeline.

Rear door and the 2 small front windows are standard. The only tent door option you have now is you can opt for both large side doors or neither. You can’t just get one anymore.

I chose black exterior with grey frame because it’s the most common color. I think the orange would have looked cool, but I didn’t care for how it looked with the doors closed since you can see the orange peaking out. Made it look like there were gaps. The grey makes everything look a lot cleaner imo.

    Thanks for this info!

Im thinking of the grey frame too. Not sure on the panels. It gets hot in the summer here, so i was kinda leaning away from black. And im not sure about the white/white look anymore haha. I need to find some pictures of the grey panels

Does anyone have the clip in gofsr tri layer walls? They’re $100 off and curious how much they actually help in the winter

I’ll be camping a lot this season and just want to see if it’s worth the spend

I tried buying the tri layer odyssey but they were sold out. Casey told me their Normal fabric is still great. I slept in my Tepui with the same type of fabric in 16° and was fine in my zero degree bag.

I haven't had that issue, I think mine has small Velcro tabs on it? Can't remember.
With a memory foam on top of my Smitty mattress and a thick bag, it sleeps incredibly well. Like as good as my regular bed.

I've camped in mine down to 15 degrees. Hand warmers in your sleeping bag and a down blanket help too

Agreed, I’m not really worried about the temp for me. More so for my dog as he sleeps up there with me haha.

need to look into some down blankets as he doesn’t really get in a sleeping bag

When it is really, really cold, I can convince him to get in the double sleeping bag.

but he usually just wants to spoon my legs which leads to me cold in the double sleeping bag (more space for warmth to leak out) and him cold up against my legs haha.

think a down camping blanket will be perfect for him, was just exploring options since the tri-layer was on sale

Ikea has pretty good prices on down duvets and covers so you could easily pull it off and wash it after camping.
