you would be surprised... I made it pretty far with much more snow then this on our hoodriver trip with some REAL sketchy tires.

I Will say a lot of it is driver ability as well

    Yes sir! Couldn’t believe it.
Trying to figure where exactly they are. But it happened. They were following their GOS looking for lookout mountain or something.

man so when someone get stuck like that everyone behind them is just forced to back out the way they came? What a mess that would be.

My wife’s car is all wheel drive, I’m sure it will make it! Lol oh wait, only 2” of ground clearance

Yeah, pretty much. Would be very unlucky to happen upon this with a group of 6-8 rigs.

Exactly! Ground clearance gets em every time. Lol. That and their lack of understanding that AWD is not 4WD. I blame marketing.

yeah especially in this case. Clearance really makes the difference on this trail. Although yesterday 4wheel drive was nice to have quite a few times too.

Question for those of you that had air on board on Saturday. I've been putting off getting air on board (no real reason) and just need to get one already. I dont want a permanently mounted compressor either. I've seen "portable" air compressors from Ironman 4x4, VIAIR and others running around $200 (some more but I dont want to spend a fortune) These connect directly to your battery
What did you guys have? Any thoughts or feedback on these or like the one in this pic?
I dont want to spend a ton of money on one, but also dont want to spend 4 hours airing back up  It's a fine line...
    Thanks for your feed back

No, mine was. Mine is stock still. The plan was to get new suspension, wheels & tires at the beginning of this year but then covid happened and I paused on all unnecessary spending. Good thing too because I took a little bit of a hit for a month or two (construction)

I have a VIAIR 300P and it works great. I can air up all 4 tires from about 15psi to 35psi in a total of about 10 minutes. Only thing I don't like about it is the supplied air hose and air chuck. I'll eventually replace those with something better.
