power steering flush

anyone done a flush of the p/s fluid? mines really looking dirty and a little low. No problems driving yet, just want to stay on top of it.

I checked thru some webpages and couldn't really find anything about a procedure for a flush.

My husband and I did the 96 years ago. It's not that hard and I don't have time here to explain, so here's a link:
I don't know if there are any differences between 1st/2nd gens. You may want to investigate that.

There is a company called BG that has a machine available to do that. Works pretty good. We use alot of their machines at work.

I did this, but I just turned the wheel back and forth with the front end off jacked up off the ground. That alone was enough to flush all the old ATF out of the system and replace it with the new. Took about 30 minutes and almost a quart of ATF.

 

thats all i did. jack up the tires off the ground, line up the return line to a 2 liter bottle, fill w/ atf adn slowly turn back and forth until clean, red atf was going into the two liter...very simple and took 30 min as well.
