    Devil’s Backbone collaboration with Spaten, pretty good.

    Spaten Oktoberfest is very good and I’ve always been a big fan of Devil’s Backbone, I stop in whenever I travel through the Shenandoah Valley.

    This was mediocre at best, too sweet. Maybe I'm just burnt out on the pumpkin stuff. I've been trying to buy coffee/stouts lately on my weekly total wine run. Been popping in the humidor too, turns out I really enjoy a good cigar, which I was not aware of before.

    I always felt DB was pretty average, lot better places in VA including close by on the 151. Their Vienna Lager is very overrated in my opinion.

    Yeah I’m not a big lager guy but Vienna Lager seems to be their flagship beer that you can find everywhere around here. They’ve got some other good ones like Schwartz Bier (dark lager), Dark Abbey (Belgian Dubbel Ale with Spices) and Pumpkin Hunter (Seasonal Pumpkin Ale) and Striped Bass (pale ale with proceeds going to preservation of the local bass) but looking on their website it doesn’t seem like they have those anymore. Looks like they’ve branched out into distilling spirits.

    Cannot wait till things get back normal.........kinda getting sick of the pre-order schemes...........but it is what it is............30 minutes away from Greater Good too........which is a equal too or #2 on my short list of brewery's was up at StoneCowBrewery few weeks back on the bike.......great place! Loading up is a must...........two wheeler loading up! LOL
