On a positive note, I actually purchased mine from one of your customers who ended up not using it and I’d say it’s worth the wait! Nothing else on the market quite like it! Still planning on getting some more Molle gear for it though... but overall, awesome product Doc!! And even received awesome customer support considering I bought it second hand!!

For what it is worth in case anyone is getting nervous about the lack of a product after paying, I can tell you from first hand experience Ron is one of the good guys. If the company making these doesn’t fulfill their obligations I have no doubt that Ron will make it right. I worked with him in the past in a group purchase of some roof top tents that ended up being canceled after PayPal threw a wrench into the process. I received a full refund as did the other 20 people who were part of the group. He was professional and prompt and followed through with whatever information he provided. Not to mention he was going to deliver the RTT’s to the various buyers all the way up the eastern seaboard to Maine!

I just wish I had been quicker to order instead of thinking incorrectly that this group buy would continue for the foreseeable future since it had made it through 23 orders. Sigh.

If you guys had any idea of my frustration with this....:annoyed:. With that said, Group Buy #22 should start shipping today.

    IMG_3316.jpg

Here's the bad news. Group Buy #23 has not even started production. This is all because the shop has laid off multiple people and is running on a skeleton crew. I have no idea how many they employed to begin with, but to me, it seems they shot themselves in the foot. The project manager I deal with didn't even know what that phrase meant . On top of that, I have never charged any of customers for shipping separately, and just included it in the price. Now they have almost doubled the shipping cost of these panels. This does not increase my costs, it actually costs me money now. Negative profit. I never made much money on these to begin with but no business can survive this way. This is the only time I will offer if anyone in group buy #23 would prefer a refund, now is the time to say something. I will give everyone on the list until 5 p.m. Friday, October 30th to decide. After that, I will move forward as previously planned.

On a positive note, the shop themselves like the panel so much, they may be willing to re-negotiate terms enough for me to start the group buys back up. Let me know what you guys think and want to do.

    Respectfully
    Doc.

    Thanks for the update Doc.

From all the reviews I've read about the panels, I honestly wouldn't mind the wait for it. Also, I can't say for others, but for myself, if the price did go up a bit to cover yourself, I would be ok with that.

I'm glad the shop is willing to re-negotiate the terms for group buys. Out of curiosity, why did they suddenly gain back interest in them?

What kind of time frame are we looking at for Group 23? Are we talking another 10-14 weeks from now? Longer? Shorter?

I couldn’t intelligently speculate at this point. Let me see who stays and goes by this Friday and I’ll get an update for that as well.

I guess I'm asking because the time frame will inform if I request a refund or not.

I can understand that; however, you can see by previous customers’ testimony, the product is worth the wait, and you can’t get them anywhere else. With this in mind, it’s up to you, and you alone.

Well if you do end up starting it back up, ill be in on one. I know you're in the negative profit zone with the new shipping costs, but if you already have the numbers submitted to the manufacturer, Ill hop in where someone requested a refund. Ill pay enough to cover the updated shipping as well.

I would honestly guess a bit longer than that, just due to the total number of people in this order.

Worth the wait imo. Solid panels, and since your truck is going to last longer than you, may as put high quality parts into it
