Yes, I get that. Just didn't think underhood Temps would get that high. But I suppose in a desert setting it would be possible. I'm in WI so I never consider Temps that high lol

Can you request the desired voltage(s) and freeze frame the duty cycles?

Just looked at this again. The reply from Northstar said regardless of temp the minimum charge voltage is 13.2 any less damage may occur. So 120, 150, and 168 would be 13.2v

Well being 95deg out and wheeling down a trail would have drastically different engine temps than doing the same during winter when it's 15 deg. No?
I'm also not a mechanic soooo.... Lol.

Point being its much much hotter inside the engine bay because you have an ICE running inside a metal enclosure...

    Happy trails.

Here is a screenshot of Mats AGM instructions. I have my base phase duty set from 30 and up set at 94. Phase duty 6 and 7 i believe have been re named but i have them set at 102.398 gives me 14.5 volts when warm and i believe 14.3 when cold. Have had no issue's. 14.5 volts is a good setting that i like! You can up those to whatever you like!

They have changed on the last update i believe.Base Phase duty from 30 and up i have bumped up to 94. Phase duty base voltage 13.6 is now used to make those changes.I have this bumped up to 102.398 That gets me 14.5 volts when warm and it will be 14.3 to 14.4 when cold has been working great for me. If you want more just adjust Base phase duty to 95 and raise phase duty voltage13.6 up from 102.398 then check your voltage output at the battery or i use my scanguage to check it it has been steady at 14.5

Awesome. For now I will just mess with Base Phase Duty and Phase Duty Base Voltage 13.6 settings.

I had someone do my tune and they said they tuned it at 95 since they did it with their truck a 17 and had no issues. My truck a 18 at 95 had this issue at start but after driving the check charging would go away now After a week of the truck sitting and not moving. I had this exact issues of it going up to 14.4 while driving and back down to 13.3 while at a stop or red lights. I have a dual batter set up of Oddysey Extremes. Any help would be Appreciated.

So instead we have set charging the charging parameters of between 14.1 volts and 14.8 volts as an acceptable charging range. So long as the battery charging remains within these tolerances the battery will perform to its engineered specifications.

I got confirmation from Northstar that the ideal charge voltage for 25C is 14.4v.

As such, the people increasing charge voltage as temperature rises are confusing me? Northstar explicitly recommends dropping charge voltage as temperature rises and increasing charge voltage as temperature decreases. So a warm car should be charging around 14.2ish volts vs 14.5, not the other way around.
