I still dislike Moab rim. Alot better without a RTT though.

Here’s how I spent the past 24 hours, 7 hours to Glenwood yesterday, gave up and got a hotel, finished it off this morning.

It actually drove great and the STT Pros did awesome in the snow and ice. I did get some weird noises out of the front this morning, sounded like gear whine, not sure what that was about, but went away.

I actually spun out pulling on to my street trying to drift it a bit, only time it lost traction the whole drive.

    Strange storm path.

I didn't get any weather driving home. Hardly any traffic except a heap of cows in San Miguel canyon.

It didn't start snowing in Ridgway until about dark. Was a windy sunny afternoon and had plenty of time to unload. Looked to be about 10" this morning and didn't get much above 20 degrees today.

    Indeed it is.

I think this one pretty much sums up the weekend.

Thanks, he has a blast on the trail, probably got out with him 20-30 days this summer and he’s a pro now.

We (myself and all of the Sherpa Equipment Co. guys) ended up caught in the storm about a mile West of Palisade. It was raining one second and whiteout the next. Regrouped in palisade to find out that 70 was closed East bound. Chained up the trucks that were pulling trailers (because we watched a parked semi get blown sideways into a building) and drove to an air bnb in junction. Got there and the power was out. Luckily it was a gas stove so we cooked some dinner and started drinking. Wasn’t long before the power came back on and we were drinking in a hot tub. Add in the free day off of work since I got stuck on the better side of Colorado, and I think that was a damn good end to the trip
