    Left the machine all set up for the boss to run on Friday. Came back to this gem this morning.

    :facepalm::facepalm:
    No nothing broke surprisingly. Part is done mostly in large and then finished on the mill. First op is flipped from this position and then second is as you see.
    Not sure how he did it but sent the wrong tool in to put a small groove in. Tool was much shorter and the tool holder chewed its way down. :facepalm:

    I've never been offered tequila from someone who came in the store, until this morning at 6:45. Guy was asking for directions, I said go to the end of the street and take a right. He said can you write that down? I said no, stop sign, take a right. He did that three times, very strange. We know most everyone who comes in, especially that early in the morning. Hopefully we never see them again o_O

    More threaded end repairs. Don’t worry about that ugly weld, it gets turned off o_O

    Then he immediately goes and finds the guy that’s worked there the longest. Because he’d probably remember that bad idea. (I’m that guy here, and unfortunately my memory is really good, so they try to stump me a lot!)

    I should've chimed in before, the device is a power supply for a board stretcher. My dad sent me looking for one once, never found it or the stretcher but my dad sure got a laugh every time I came back to tell him so. Something funny about board stretchers that I'm missing?

    A friend of mine, when he got on with the FD the chief sent him to get light bulb oil so they could change it in the bay light bulbs. He was gone all day and said a few people at stores actually helped him look for it :rofl:

    Board stretchers, sky jacks, bulb oil, blinker fluid... a hardware store could make a killing if they'd just stock these items people are always looking for

    We like to send the apprentices out to look for an Id-10-T. That usually stumps them for a bit
