Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Never do a repair in a hurry.

Did brakes last weekend on the '14 and kinked (not too badly) the hardline between the rubber hose and the FR caliper (what happened to rubber lines from the frame right to the caliper, anyway? Who thinks up this shit?). The hanger slipped off the upper control arm.

Replacement line got here Friday, so I put it in last night. Of course nothing *quite* lined up (correct part, just needed some massaging) and part of the problem was me. "Take the tire off? Nah. I can get to this...". Well, you CAN get to it, but the angle of the dangle is all wrong for getting the threads started properly, and who the hell wants to crossthread something on a Saturday night?

Ended up jacking up the truck as it was oozing DOT3 everywhere, took the tire off, and then it was an 8-second job. Oh, and the upper fitting didn't wanna give, but nothing a set of vise grips couldn't fix.

Key tools: An electric impact (I have the 1/2" drive Milwaukee, so no need to ramp up the compressor and wake up the family). Speed Bleeders. F-me, those things are the handiest little gizmos I've ever installed. Some sort of mandrel (a piece of 3/8" ID galvanized pipe worked wall) to carefully tweak/bend the line into shape.

Oh well, it's Sunday. Finally. :)

That might work if I ever have some time off of work. Been a busy fire season, have only had a handful of days off since July

I need this done too. I called a company last year and they quoted me 2k which was kind of shocking as I was expecting much less. In any case I need it done now. If you find someone reasonable let me know.

Next time you see them out working, ask them to do it on the side. I'm a cheap ass and that's how I get things done. Can't hurt to ask.

Not a bad idea. I'm happy to pay people cash for "side job" type stuff when I can. It does need to be a legit job though, I don't want my neighbors making a fuss.

Yeah I’m starting the process of building a detached garage in my backyard and want to get it as close to 5’ setbacks as possible. I did some rough measuring using the parcel map and Washoe county GIS and I think my back fence is about 2-3’ into my backyard.

I moved my safe myself. Used a PODS container to ship it and one of those stair-climbing handtrucks to move it around. From the old place, it had to go up a steep driveway to street level, so I rigged a set of fours, anchored to my truck, and hoisted it up, then into the POD with the handtruck. Reversed the process when I got to the new place. I had a spotter both times, but was able to manhandle 800lbs of steel with the right tools.

I was also really particular about how I tied it down during all phases of the moving process, even bumming a couple of heavy-duty load straps from a buddy that used to drive trucks for a living.

It might be easier to rent a truck with a liftgate for the move, plus the handtruck to manhandle the SOB into its final resting place. I bet that would still come in well below $2k.

Yep. I am not a warm weather person. Bring me all the cold, snow, and clouds you can, Nevada.

I grew up in the Pac NW. I hate Reno summers.

If there was a place on earth that was always 65, mostly cloudy, and 20% humidity, I'd be on the next plane out.

Anybody in the area messing with VF Tuner? I've got some changes going, but I really know nothing about tuning. Wondering if there's some knowledge floating around here. Maybe we can get a group together to kickstart progress while we wait for Mat's webinar.
