Painted one of my half shafts, still beats buying LT CVs new.

Oh, give me a break Ben, there is plenly of material available on this topic. You do not need me to direct your research for you.

I suspect you know this full well and are just trying to play that high ground game you like to use with others. I hope you have fun playing with yourself. :)

I'm not getting into the pissing contest, but there is plenty of research in regards to vision, maybe not specifically headlights. Typical Google searches generally don't bring up scientific research publications. Not that I can understand them anyway.

I didn't search anything, but have in the past, not in reference to vehicle lighting though. Search for scientific articles/journals, I don't know any off the top of my head. There's certain ways to search for them, I can ask my wife in the morning if you're actually interested, but I'll bet you could search Google on how to search for publications.

The executive summary indicates that lower light color temperature has higher transmittance than higher color temps in foggy conditions. Whether that means you can actually see better is somewhat subjective.

Yeah I’m guessing English is not the first language of those authors. Or maybe it was run through a crappy translation program.

Have you ever gotten a text from Ben? You wouldn't guess it's his first language either. We don't have a translator for that yet though, science has only come so far. :p

I had one of those in my patrol car in the 90’s and they NEVER fail , solid switch panel made for extreme environments. Nice mod !

Upgraded the windshield sprayers. No more jets!

I mean, I was going to stay out of this whole thing (even though I sort of started it) because it's clearly just "people interneting." But seriously Ben, do the world a favor and just start using dictation for your texts and TW posts :p ;) :boink: .

    - - -

And in other news, I finally found a bit of time to go align all the lights at night. The hellas are hella bright now. Headlights are definitely brighter...though not as dramatic as I thought they might be...and I don't mind the white light (in a short amount of driving around town) as much as I thought I would when I saw them in the garage.

Cutoff on these particular LEDs seems actually quite good. :stirthepot:
