I lost the battle this summer.... It dried a bunch and there's some kind of weed that no matter what I do keeps spreading. Looks like salad growing in my front lawn. Just gave up. Planning for a large flower bed with drought tolerant plants then repair whatever else. I get crazy amounts of sun and heat out front. Like burn hand on door knob heat

hows the snow out that way? We usually get F all for snow. I won’t be doing winter tires this year/at all unless we move back north sometime. I think you’re further north of that rain snow line.

Paying a sweep is like 100 bucks. 50 bucks for the brush, I’m lucky I’m only one story. I’ll probably pay someone this year and buy the brush next year.

I’ll let you know how it goes, I planted a bunch of clover up front this year just a few weeks ago. My lawn is d e a d. I’m hoping the clover is drought resistant and I’ve read it beats out other stuff and doesn’t need as much mowing. I didn’t scalp the lawn or anything really first though. Spring time will be it’s own animal, need to do the whole rest of the front yard. Then I’ll probably overseed into June and then hope for the best. My goal is to not have to water it at all and it stays green.

New frame in 15 means it’s just about ready for a new frame :boink:

15 sounds high to me but I was just looking at frontiers and similar years and miles with less mods was closer to about 10k.

Yeah, you can probably alternate years-personal brush vs pro. Dad bought a brush years ago, but he better not be using it now-he is damn near 80.

as a warning-WV gets snow and likely salts their roads--no secret here, but 2005 is ancient for a salt state daily driver(if it is a daily driver).

edit-I see the new frame--5 years ago.

oh I just meant it’s not an expensive thing to farm out and also cheap to DIY. For the peace of mind, happily pay it.

Snow isn't usually bad. I still have the stock wheels with st maxxs so I'm still using them until they wear out to keep the salt off the other set. When they are gone it'll be time for 4runner wheels and 33s

I have a spot like that, even with watering it browns. We planted trees this year and hopefully in 5 or so they just cover it all:rolleyes:

Luckily I dont leave the property much and am not too much of a public threat. Some trees on my property might want to file complaints tho:rofl:

i got a response back from the owner and it has 162,000 miles. Too rich for my taste, especially with an 05 engine prone to head gasket failures.
Frontiers are excellent value for money, i just cant get over the styling compared to the tacoma

yeah i'm aware WV is not a southern area by any means. frame may be good, but that doesn't mean every other bolt hasn't denigrated

I like them because you can take the passenger seat in and out and reset the airbag lights without going to the dealer. Can’t do that in my G3 Tacoma so, I’m debating it. Depends how my camping trip this weekend goes and then if I end up doing more road trips. Kipping up across the back seat in the Tacoma is doable but, I’ve had better.

This guy is what I want to replicate.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tundy-house-and-beetle-build-thread-and-exploring.407850/page-31#post-15385825

But I want it to be modular enough that taking the seat in and out is about the same nuisance as a roof top tent. Because when I’m not road tripping and camping...I still want a passenger seat. The Tacoma needs to recal the airbag sensors and whatnot. The frontier has a key/ignition sequence that resets the airbags, the Tacoma does not. I like the Tacoma, but if I’m going to keep at the camping and road tripping stuff, a frontier might be a better fit (if I stay in a truck, I’d prefer to have a bed but could consider a pathfinder or 4Runner too, I just prefer to have the bed).

I’m going to post in the TW express thread too but I’m heading from providence to Schenectady/Troy Ny today. (A little further west but there abouts) if anyone needs anything moved.

not sure what part of southern NH you’re in but shooters outpost in hooksett usually has 9mm. They up date Facebook page when they get delivery’s . It’s not cheap though and it sells out in a day or two. Last time I looked it was $25 a box of 50. It was $8 at the beginning of the year.
619 guns in Merrimack had some last week. They only sell ammo to NH residents now.

I stopped there on my way home last night. The only 9mm they had were defensive rounds. 1 box per customer- $30 for a box of 20. I am not spending $1.50/round. But I guess it allows people to get SOMETHING.

Just did a tour with a guy from Tree House Brewery, said he has some announcements to make soon.

Sounded like they were going to set up some pop up locations and some fun events to try to get to more of their fans as their main location is obviously limited with covid restrictions.

If I was going to sleep in my vehicle, the 4Runner would be my choice. Cargo box or something on top for extra gear, drop back seats and sleep away.

Yep, mixed feelings. I hope I'll have my truck back by then. Taking a lot longer than expected, parts availability issue.
