Looking to get a tonneau cover for this winter, want to be able to keep things dry in the bed. Used to have bed cap but decided it wasn't for me. What covers are ya'll running? Recommendations, ones to stay away from? Thanks in advance.

If you want to keep things 100% dry, a fiberglass 1 piece tonneau is the way to go. If you want to keep things 80% dry and be able to haul an ATV, dirt bike, pinball game, etc without leaving the tonneau at home, a Bakflip is the way to go.

Does the Bakflip render the bed rails useless for anything else? The dealer told me the install uses the bed rails and then they can't be used for much else... but some photos I'm seeing seem to have Bakflip rails used on the install and then the OEM rails installed lower. Any advice here?

Roll-N-Lock, they're a little pricey but a buddy has one on his Tundy and it bloody fantastic, way less hastle than a back flip and more secure, think of it as a micro industrial garage roll up door over your bed.

The Bakflip does use the factory bed rails, but those bed rail tie downs aren’t that great anyway. Some good D rings under the bed bolts and some well placed L track and you can tie down anything you want.

I'll be honest, my cheapo Access Roll Up has been great and stays probably 95% dry a far as I can tell. 4 years in and still looks and functions quite well. Also allows you to still use your bed rails as well as gives you full access to your bed and I think it looks pretty good. Not super secure, so if that's a concern it might not be ideal.

That bakflip looks nice! Only thing I dont like is if you needed the whole bed you can't see out the back window.

It removes with just 2 thumb wheels and 1 person can easily carry the tonneau. All that’s left on the truck is the tracks.

I've been very happy with my Undercover tonneau cover. Company support has been great, it survived hurricane Irma.

Revolver fell apart after 2.5 years. Seems are separated and ripped out. Don’t waste your money.

my truck came with a Pace Edwards full metal jackrabbit, locking rolling tonneau. it takes some space at the front of the bed. the cover does leak a bit at the tailgate. I've had a ARE fiberglass tonneau before - and this one is better for loading things in the back. but i'm more of a shell type guy

Lund Genisis Elite model. Installs with no drilling. Uses interior bed rails to secure. Easily installed and removed. The fabric is woven, like a convertible top. All USA made, including the fabric. Great product. Available on Amazon for around $300.

I’ve had Truxedo, Access and Tonno Pro roll up tonneau covers from expensive to cheap and they all did the same thing and kept my bed dry. The only thing that I noticed that was different is how the tension was adjusted.

I have an Extang BlackMax on mine & I've put a Blackmax on numerous other trucks I've owned over the last 16 years (Ranger, two OBS F150's & '06 F250), they're decently priced, fit great and never had one leak.

I'm using a TruXedo Lo Pro QT Tonneau Cover. Just about to go through the first winter with it but I haven't had any problems. It's super easy to install and doesn't get in the way too much. Also, I like that when it's rolled up you don't have any unusable space like you would with a folding cover. A little water gets in from heavy rain but I think that was more of my fault with how I did the weather stripping.
    Here's where I bought it from: https://tonneaucoversworld.com/p/truxedo-lo-pro-qt-tonneau-cover/
    Shipping was fast and free.
