I tried heat once. The problem I had was, I didn't have a handle on the plastic razor and kept burning my hands. Plus the razor was getting soft. In the end I got the film off and never remove another film for anyone again.

It was over 10 years ago. I believe it was a hair dryer.

I remember it was taking a long time removing. A slow process, about 2 hours to remove a small piece. Then I believe I use Goo Gone to remove any adhesive.

 

I'm baaaaaaaack! Yes, shot a pile of Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock.
