I’m always stoked to drive in the snow, until I’m driving in the snow.

I put Wildpeaks on first thing when I got my truck. I'm in portland and basically spend my time going from coast to mountain every weekend (for surfing or snowboarding), depending on the season. Wanted something that looked good and performed in rain/snow. Haven't been disappointed yet.

Probably a good time to finally buy some bed stiffeners, I guess...

And what would be the benefit of adding those? I’m assuming the camper is bolted down to the rails on each side of the bed so the canopy is going to hold everything together. Really don’t see any benefit of adding bed stiffeners unless the canopy was made of fiberglass or wasn’t structurally sound.

That's a good point. I was just thinking bed rail weight == stiffener time, without considering that this isn't your typical fiberglass topper.

I bought the total chaos stiffeners just as piece of mind. It's a air amount of weight sitting on a composite bed. Whether or not it really matters, I'm not sure, but I'll be happy to know my bed won't bow out over time.

Weight on the bed rails pushes down on the bed and that can cause it to bow outward if there is nothing to counteract that force. There is evidence to suggest that any sort of weight can cause this problem but there hasn’t been any sort of scientific testing that I’ve seen to confirm one way or the other.

But stiffeners are relatively cheap and add some good tie down points at a minimum.
