Kinda in the same boat, first female on my dad's side in 4 generations, plus born on Fathers Day... aaaaaaaand 4 male cousins plus my brother. One Grandfather was Navy, the other worked on computer chips for the Apollo Series. Tack that onto the fact that I've been in the fire service for 15 years now, I'll stick with Grandfathered.

 

You should ramp it up to the National Registry Paramedic Computerized test.

I used to hate these questions

 

They'll meet when the time is right. Distance is no object.


Or, assuming identical rates of acceleration and no deviations from their set speeds, they'll meet 2 hours into their journey, 140 miles from Westfort and 120 miles from Eastford. Preferably head on, because I hate these questions.

Oh no way! My grandfather was a Failure Analysis Engineer for the Apollo project!

 

That is AWESOME! I don't know what exactly he did, unfortunately, I never got to ask, or meet him. He passed a year or so befor I was born. Though his best friend was our Butcher at Pathmark (they met on the Apollo project, then moved up here to Heinemann Electric), Grandpa Walt and my Dad filled in a few blanks before they both passed, just not enough details.

 

The things I have been told by my grandfather are interesting...

turned down playing football at Oklahoma... entered WWII... caught hitlers right hand man trying to cross the border that they had control of...

 

So excited to do this for the fourth year in a row! Might even be fifth lol

That's a shame. In a bitter twist of irony, my grandfather passed from Alzheimer's in 2013. This dude graduated from MIT with a master's engineering degree, worked for NASA, Polaroid, and others. He started a translation business with my grandma. They worked on instruction manuals and such for DuPont and a bunch of big businesses. He drew up the blueprints for my childhood home as something to do for fun.

They came over here with $50 and 2 suitcases in the late 50's and retired multi-millionaires. That's the American dream.
