Lol that’s the whole reason I got into welding in the first place. I didn’t trust someone else to set up a rear shock relocate properly, so I taught myself.

Reservoirs do make rebuilds a whole lot easier to get right, lol. Also, non reservoir shocks that don’t have an IFP to separate the oil and nitrogen (emulsion shock) are not as smooth as shocks that have it separated.

Edit: the guy from filthy motor sports in the video a few pages back explains it much better. He knows his stuff about suspension.

My plan this winter is to practice and practice some more. I haven't really had much time since I got the welder. Maybe I'll trust myself to do it at some point.

Excellent to hear Randall. That's got to be good for all involved, including Young George.

Oh by the way, am I allowed to call him Geo as sort of a play on Geographic for his obvious future off the road endeavors?

Really you can call him whatever you like, but we picked George because I wanted a name without nicknames. I wish I’d gone by Randall from a young age because I like my name to be my actual name, but I’m in too far deep now.

Funny story. At my new job, I told myself I would introduce myself as Randall. Start fresh. During the job interview, they asked if I would prefer a Randy or Randall and I defaulted to Randy. It doesn’t bother me at all, I just think Randall is a better name.

I don't think I'd ever call you Randall unless you were in trouble.

Lol so far I’ve referred to him as giorgio armani and my wife calls him georgey, but these won’t follow him out of infant-hood.

Hard disagree. Randy is that reliable friend that'll bail you out on a trail, etc.

Randall is skeevy used car salesman.

Then again, I'm probably biased due to negative exposure from a young age thanks to Monsters, Inc.
