While it smacks as true, the outlet is supremely questionable:
    upload_2020-10-27_14-38-16.jpg

Beyond that, the execution of the dorkel was just sad. @MESO is how it should be done, esp the fender penetration. On an N/A, the inlet orientation might be a problem though:

I'm sure aftermarket "snorkels" will still be available

IDK, they've been running scoops for a while. 4Runner a Tacoma for a long time, Tundra just got it a few years ago though.

I'm a little surprised, what with all the people who mall crawl for the tough look, I thought the factory snorkel would be the ultimate aesthetic add-on.

Less surprised because $700 is ridiculous price.

I wouldn't bet against you. That's why I like my simple (relatively!) '17.

You'd think, but it was fugly. The mall crawl crowd is all about the looks and the dorkel didn't have it.

I wouldn't mind swapping out my Skewp. MT has to stay though.

Did I miss the part where it said the scoop is going away... or was OP's title just click bait?

In that case... ICE is next... and we no longer need to worry about DAI or scoops.

@OverlandExpress do you know if that snorkel is installed at port/dealership or in the factory?

Edit: BTW, your paint looks incredible

I never wanted the forkle, but almost bought a Tacoma with one when I was shopping around for my 2020. I can only imagine how I'd feel right now reading this had I done so...:angrygirl:

The airflow snorkel is still the best looking/flowing Option out there. After all these years.
