Maybe someone else knows.....I'm curious whether or not the hole in your fender was put there during the manufacturing process or cut with a hole saw by a minimum wage paid 20 year old.

You definitely take care of your truck, hopefully it's the former

Most ALL the taco's that I was looking at had the "dealer installed" stuff like predator bars, bed mat, bed lights etc....
As far as I remember the DEI was factory installed.
I know for sure the dealer did not do it.....

I never liked the idea of having both a scoop and a dorkle. It's (the appearance of) one, or the other. Can't have both.

Every Pro owner with a DAI is advertising to the world that they like wearing a belt with their suspenders. Change my mind.

That's not what any of these are for (referring to the snip). You'd have to do more that just add an intake tube, to vehicles like even the Gladiator to increase the water fording from 30" that they come stock with. They have nothing to do with water. Toyota designed its "snorkel" as an air intake for sand running, not water fording.

I say this as a die-hard fan of the scoop: if I bought one, I would be posting in the hood swapping thread the very next day. I like snorkels, I like scoops, but can't have both at the same time. Those go together like chocolate and oysters.

I did a old build and the DEI was indeed a factory installed option...
Once you get to the accessories area it says this for bed lights, which mine were factory installed.

Who cares what everyone else says, you feel good about it and that's what matters.

Not gonna recommend you go fording with it though

I didn't realize how many people have actually never off-road'd on dry terrain.

You really only have to do it once to immediately see the function of a Snorkel.
