The golden sticker! Run, run straight home Brian! XD

That's awesome though, the little extra things like this make it nice. Top notch products and service!

Have you shaved the pin on the back of the buttons yet? I know some mild shaving may be required to prevent this from happening, just remove material in SMALL increments.

I think I saw somewhere you might file down a little bit. A little at a time and check it each time till it's within tolerance

We're not talking about hitting two buttons at the same time from the faceplate. It is one of the remote buttons activating two contacts internally.

Just a quick one-two with a file on the back of the buttons cured my buttons from being pressed without me pushing them, may have went a touch too far on one...

and when removing the transponder, a little heat really helps to get the chip out.

at the hardware store to get the key cut I just unscrewed the set screw and they can then cut the key

My Flip Fobs arrived today, probably going to try to get them cut tomorrow.

Anyone figure out why their cut key only works when oriented in one direction?

Wondering if I should be trying to find a place that makes the key from the vin/key code or if those are just one off bad cuts.

Mine works both ways, the Ace I went to makes transponder keys, so maybe it’s their cutter?

Good to know. On the other FOB thread someone just reported their Ace key only works in one direction. Who knows. :notsure:

Had to go to a local locksmith to get mine cut. Lowes and Autozone wouldn't touch a 2019 for some reason. Oh well, the locksmith charged me $5 to cut it. Tested it both ways before he let me pay him too, ha. Some times I forget how awesome small business's can be. If anyone in Phoenix needs a key cut. I recommend Rigo's off 31st Ave and Van Buren.

Are you guys bringing the key fob fully assembled before taking it to get cut? Or is it better to bring in just the key portion.

Are we going to be able to order individual buttons? Or build our own kits? Or will we have to buy full kits and use what we want? For example, I'd like to get gray, lock and unlock buttons, and 2 red panic buttons. Would I have to order 3 full kits then?

I took the full built fob. The locksmith was the only one who wanted to take the blank out but didn't have an allen small enough so he left it assembled while he cut it.
