I chose it because of the scoop, flares, looks and didn't want the glorified cruise control. Just something else to break and knowing that I would never use it. Plus it looks better!

LOL at “To assert dominance over SR/SR5 owners”. I’m pretty sure that’s a joke but this thread is questionable to begin with so I’m not sure

Sorry for the stupid question but what does big rear end mean? Does the sport have a bigger rear diff than the other models? I've heard people mention the sport having a better rear end than the Off Road's but I always thought they both had the same 8.75 diff...

All 3rd gen MTs, Off Roads and Pros come with the larger 8.75" rear end.

I ended up with the sport simply because it was the only ACC CB on the lot.
Color be damned, I was buying that day, but ACC CB was non negotiable.

    No regrets.

So would an Auto Sport also have the 8.75 rear end?

Styling and ride quality. 95% percent of driving is on pavement and Honestly I associate the look of a Tacoma as having a hood scoop. Yes the locker(only advantage of an OR imo) is a great feature but how often do you use it. Plus the limited slip on the Sport works great. Suspension usually gets swapped out for people who are into off roading regularly. Have seen sports tackle impressive obstacles with some new suspension and good tires.

I have no idea what the correct abbreviation is, assuming there is one.
Dealer abbreviated it ACC CB on my contract and I've just run with it.. lol

Its funny, my buddy bought an OR strictly because of the locker. He bought it almost 2 years ago and guess what? Did not use the locker yet. I always make fun of him since he always says having a locker is super important. I look at it this way, Im not taking my 50k taco where the locker is needed. Its our only vehicle and it does perfectly fine getting to campsites/beaches/view points that we need to go to. I spend quite a bit of time off road in the summers and never needed the locker. I upgraded to 265/70/17s AT tires and its a beast off road. I will agree that Simulated LSD works great, it crawls great when you air down in 1st in 4LO.

Wanted the Access Cab and manual transmission and i dont live in Canada so the decision was made. Love my Sport. 99% on road, don't need the locker. Rides great and gets lots of compliments to boot!20200906_171703.jpg

I've always been one to do my own thing. lol

Two years into ownership, and only this evening do I for the first time see the correct nomenclature is Access Cab, not Accessory.
Whelp, I'm not switching shit up now, I drive a 2018 Accessory Cab, and I abbreviate it ACC CB.

So I actually bought a TRD OR but I selected what I would have purchased the Sport for if I had ended up going that way. I mostly just wanted to be nosy and see what everyone else chose lol.
Edit: hood scoop and colour matched flares and bumper would've been the deciding factors for me.
