I dont know, you get that truck in dirt and rocks a lot, I’d say the MTs are warranted. If all you ever do is fire roads then ATs should be your tire. Switching out wheels with AT tires in san diego sounds ridiculous especially with your tire replacement program being so efficient.

no picks of the bleed out?? Lol

The spare set was P rated, looks cool but on road only. But 5 full size tires takes up a big chunk of space in the garage.

I did post a picture of the aftermath, while I was bleeding I was more concerned about not get blood on my sandals than pictures.

Did some work on the battery relocate today
Got the Odyssey 34R-PC1500 into the Ruffstuff Specialties battery box on the passenger side frame under the bed. First mounted it with the words up but didn't like the position of the terminals so flipped it.

Bolted the Blue Sea Systems Dual Power Post to the frame boxing plates just forward of the battery.979BA792-7628-480E-AD7C-8B0AB00D74C7.jpg

The cheap set of battery terminal wires I got at the Vatozone wouldn't properly secure to the negative terminal so I abandoned that plan. The optional ground wire from the @SDHQ OFFROAD Billet Battery Terminal Upgrade Kit was too short to reach between the two so that will get used else where.

I routed the extended battery harness I got from @MountainBikeRdr through the crossmember over the gas tank and then along the inside of the driver's side frame rail. It's about 5 feet longer than I need it to be so I will use the extra to go between the terminal lugs and the PowerPost.

I still need to figure out exactly what I'll use in the stock battery location to connect into the stock setup but likely another Dual PowerPost.

Normal, that crossmember is two pieces of metal and the weld is on the inside.

So it doesn't look like I'll be able to source the @RelentlessFab Bed Rail Caps they make for @Iggy at Vagabond before it's time to move the camper over, so I'll be recoating the KB Doodoo steel caps I currently have on the black truck. Trying to decide on a color for the rails, Baron Red to match the swingouts? Matte Black to be boring? Blaze Orange to match the GFC frame? Something cooler? The bronze didn't match well enough on the sliders to use it for the rails.

If it will be visible around the GFC, orange to match the GFC.

You can see the outside edge with the camper mounted. So it would match the little bit of orange frame that pops out. It was a plan if I had kept the black truck. EEA89E17-7224-48DF-8C86-BB7C28DCD16B.jpg

The front coils are gonna get switched over to another color, Toytec doesn’t sell their red coils in 3x14x650 so I need to either find a set of those already in red or pick a new color.

This orange/red color scheme is definitely something different.

How about Blue? Or better yet, black? Those will stand out from the GFC. Given the style on your rig, orange wouldn't flow right with "business" and red wouldn't standout enough.

Nice, I've been thinking about modifying the stock ones. I just ordered a set cause its easy and seems worth the $ vs me trying to modify the stock ones.
