probably yeah.

 

I ended up boxing that corner of my bumper with plate. Then I welded a longer angle iron to the bumper mount with three side bolts, and also have attaching points on the bottom of the frame as well. That stiffened it up quite a bit.

I mark it on my calendar, along with balljoints and the people who think lift=tire clearance. Gotta have something to look forward to.

Haven't thought that through and not quite ready to sell for a couple months yet.

Got my new fog lights in for the daily. Now to built a mount and decide what kind of relay box I want..



Look like I'll be able to come up with a ditch light mount for these or some S1s by the mirror. To be determined though.

Go full fighter pilot and setup a series of overhead switches you need to flip in sequence to turn those on

So your saying the whole bumper is twisting most likely? So I need to tie it back into the frame somehow?

 

That would be my thought. I think that whole wing and C channel piece is angling up when you have that swing-out out.

 

It’s the Northwest trail innovations DIY rear, and 4x swing out.

boxing the c channel has fixed close to 1”-2” of sag. Next time I have it off I’ll weld in some more supports/gussets. But I’m really considering cutting the wings and making it a little more high clearance.
I posted this earlier. Red line is the bumper cut I’m thinking and the blue is where I’ll cut the bed. I think it’s a similar to the coastal bumper your looking at.
