No pics but I used to make a killer sweet potato casserole. Bake two yams and two sweet potatoes in oven at 350 until semi soft (poke holes in them or they will blow up in your oven...don’t ask me how I know) once done peel and cube (large to medium cubes) put in casserole dish. Place slices of butter over the top. (10-12) less than a 1/2stick. Pour 1/2-1cup maple syrup, drizzle with molasses, sprinkle with 1/2 -3/4 cup brown sugar and top with candied pecans. Baked for 30 mins until everything melts together. Then call the doctor and let him know you’ll need some medicine for your diabetes hahaha. Man is this good

So many good sides to choose from lol but as far as the bird goes:

    -buy a good one

-season/brine as desired. Keep in mind the turkey is prolly already brined unless u bought it from hippies. I keep it simple with salt pepper garlic maybe some poultry seasoning

-do not stuff turkey with anything but herbs and spices unless u like salmonella or overcooked dried out meat

-preheat oven to 500, stick turkey in for 30 min at that temp then reduce to 350 til internal temp of thickest part of breast is 165, should be like 2-3 hours but check often once u hit 145. U don’t want to overcook/dry out the bird

-min 30 minute rest before carving. YouTube for carving info

    -save drippings for gravy

A lot of people like to spatchcock the bird before roasting :)

I do spatchcocked on a Weber kettle grill with indirect heat lol

roast giblets/necks/whatever in a separate pan then boil to get gravy stock

It turned out awesome. I did 30 minutes on high pressure cook served over quinoa. Today I had some in a tortilla with sour cream for lunch. Its definitely going in my book.

Nice! It’s ok flavor wise before the peanut butter, but the PB just makes it amazing. I only used chicken to make it, but want to give beef a go sometime.
    Glad it turned out good!

For the Turkey I would follow Alton Brown's recipe. I have made three this way and prefer it to smoking, deep frying or any other way. The are some hard to find ingredients like allspice berries but that is where Amazon is your friend.
