Mine runs fine at lower temps. The only thing I have noticed is the first 10-30 seconds of start up running a bit rough but it clears out with a rev or 2.

Volvo mod did make the engine run smoother, and my auto trans seems to hold onto the gears in higher rpm which is great.

I put one on my 3rd gen 4runner. Definitely made a difference, but not the race car I was hoping for :D. Most of the power was in the high rpm band; it was definitely nice for passing power.

Have one for sale if anyone is looking!

Hey guys so I recently installed a grey first gen supercharger . In the recent weeks I got lean bank 1 code, the sc has a constant squeal to it that doesn’t stop until I’m the gas. Also occasionally my transmission shifts a little late. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I already checked my vac lines and clean maf still no luck

    “constant squeal”
    From the supercharger?

Or the pulleys or a belt?

squeal is constant or changes with rpms?

I just had the supercharger idler pulley go bad. It started as a chirp and progressed to a squeal.
At first I thought it was the supercharger itself.

Doesn’t sound like a belt . It stopped for a while after I boosted a little bit then returned at idle

When I got the p0171 lean code, it was because the EGR port on the back of my supercharger got uncapped. Dunno if the grey ones have the same EGR port or not, but if it's not in use then it should be capped off well. Any small leak will trigger a lean code

If it’s a grey unit it Could be something with the bypass and all the gaskets it uses. When you go into boost air is no longer passing through area.

Anyone used a Bosch boost gauge or any Bosch gauges? I have a few Bosch tools and I am always happy with their tool manufacturing quality, but I don’t know much about Bosch car parts and their quality. They seemed a little more pricey than other gauges, I think between $46-56.

I have a Bosch sawzall, variable speed jigsaw, and variable Speed grinder and also their badass laser. So I’m already biased towards Bosch In the tool department, hoping someone who has used their vehicle gauges can chime in on their worthiness.

I saw them at O’Reillys I think, or maybe it it was advance auto parts? Auto zone? Napa? there is literally one of those stores all within eyesight of each other, about 10 min away from me.
