Kurt, I read your posts and checked out all your pictures. Just thinking about all you accomplished tired me out and I had to take a nap. Then I realized you did all this prior to you leg angioplasty and then ohad an angioplasty. You the man! If I lived closer I’d love to sit on the porch with you and partake of your refrigerator contents. Take it a little easy, give yourself some time to recover from that angioplasty.

Thanks sir! I know it sounds stupid, but my legs would tire so much, I knew it was coming, so I had to get the heavy lifting done before!
Starting to feel a little more normal, and I have a nice set of bruises (they get worse, then go away!) I have TRIED to take it easy this week; I cleaned up in the garage, redid an underground feed in the greenhouse (no shovel, just a hoe, honest doc!), and did that under hood stuff. I hate having nothing going on!
Sometimes I wish Texas wasn't so big - many other places I could be in 5 states in a day, and sit on anyone's porch for a drink or three!

    Morning all:
Wow, you have definitely been busy Kurt!
We have rattlesnakes in our area, in all the years of looking for indian relics, fishing mountain streams, hunting small game, and early archery hunting, I have only ran into one and it let me know he was there by rattling, we also have copperheads, those won't give you any warning like a rattlesnake will.

Nice stash there Mark, now you need to make some home brewed maple syrup also!

Good Morning all. A wonderful cold (40*) morning to go get a hair cut, and run some errands while we wait for the sun and 60*. Then, it goes all beautiful for the rest of the week until who knows! Picking up enough potting soil to redo all the pots that haven't been yet - then they get their "haircuts", and into the greenhouse on the next predicted cold snap. If I get good cuttings, they make little Hibiscus plants.
    Have a great day all!

    Good morning all.

The honey looks rather delicious Mark. I bought some apple orchard honey up in Michigan last week. Going to try it out on a rack of ribs when I smoke them today.

Daym Kurt you have been busy. Take care and heal quickly. I like the greenhouse, oh and the fridge. LOL

Today is pond filter cleaning day, I hope. One of our Verizon set top boxes went bad and Verizon is the pits today. 1st call rep could not hear me. 2nd call the connection died. waiting for call back for 3rd call.

Hopefully this last little cold spell will drive all of our serpents underground! Had a couple of mornings near freezing this week - but going back up in a hurry they say. Barely a month between 105º and now 32º......... weird weather for AZ.

The cold front will be a good excuse to build a family favorite - chili con carne on spaghetti, with cheddar and onions!

Just turned 69 so my last 60s, next year I enter the 70s club. My mine still does not accept that I am 69 but there are days my body reminds me.

Loving my Tacoma and it always takes 10 years off when driving.

Hope all of you other "old-timers" have a blessed day!

    Morning all:
Welcome to the porch Judy and MaxT.

:woot: We hit the river last night and managed to catch 11 walleyes and a few stripers, biggest walleye was 24 1/2". We ended up with both our limits of legal walleyes so now surf and turf will be in the freezer, but not for long! :hungry: :)

Morning all. Welcome Judy and Max. I'm still new, so you can borrow from the fridge this month. But I don't know where the remote is.

Chilled and sunny day here in CenTex - going to mess with the greenhouse fan stack (new thermostat didn't make one night!) and putz with some truck wiring. On to repots tomorrow!

Better now than with the plants in house! It was real nice and simple, think maybe I just got a bad one. Rethinking my plans anyway. Don't want to spend money since I have several of those heaters - may just default to old "manual" control - set the knobs, and check the temps until it's where I want! Old school always a good option.

Loved those taken apart race car pics, BTW.

Good morning all, back for a little while then next Thursday headed up to the higher country to hunt for 10 days (includes setting up camp and clearing out without a trace).

I have been real busy of late, lot's of clients getting preparations ready for possible re-opening their events in 2021. Maybe, just maybe I will get back to work for a little while. I have to admit I am starting to get used to this retirement gig but I do miss working a little. To be honest the last three years have not been full time but selected what I wanted to do and for how long so - kind-of semi-retired.

Welcome Jude & Max - great group of people here -

Have a great day everyone, snow is melting, sky is clear of smoke (for the time being) and the fire fighters are starting to get a handle on the big ones up in the Rocky Mtn Nat Park area (west of Fort Collins). You don't know how close we were to loosing that park and the surrounding small communities. Fire fighters never get enough credit for what they endure and get done, extremely brave women and men on those fire lines.
