    Morning everybody,

I have an amazing kit from a company that cant be named here (TacoT***s. The harnesses, amps, and box all work great in my truck. Now that Im doing a rear seat delete I will be able to fit a second subwoofer. I emailed them and they said that I can just use and RCA splitter. I have no idea how this works. Is this like a headphone splitter where Im just going to plug the splitter into the amp and then each subs wiring to the splitter? If anybody has done this and they can send some pics I would really appreciate it.

You might not even need that

what amp are you running? Are you powering the new sub with the same amp or adding an additional amp to power it?

I would be running the same amp. Let me link it to you. It's their proprietary one. Im 90% sure its this one right here: https://*********.com/shop//z-amps-...-4-channel-x-100-watts-rms-class-d-amplifier/

I went back and looked at my order: this is the kit Im running: toyota-tacoma-add-subwoofer-packaged-system-kicker-comp-vr-10-subwoofer-*********-600-watt-amp

You shouldn't need a splitter if you're using the same amp and only that amp for subs. You will change the final nominal impedance the amp sees though. Need moar info. What's the impedance of the sub you're using now and what's the minimum impedance of that amp (would suspect no less than 2 ohm stable)? How much power does that amp make? (RMS)

More importantly, what subs are you planning on using?

You are talking on a whole other level as far as electronics and impedence goes. I really do not know what I have on there technicality wise. All I know is it would be nice to have some more bass and I was hoping I could just buy something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MY6O73I/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A2PCHXSYSMTA8S&psc=1 and run it from the same amp I already have. I can try to take pics of the wiring later today and see if any of you might be able to tell me anything from that.

One thing that did happen and I would like a more immediate solution to is that when I took the seats off, the subwoofer started slapping really bad. Just like what it sounds, a slapping sound. Should I just add that back rest on again?

Like someone else mentioned, you really want to add another of the same sub in an identical enclosure if you're going to just add another. You also want to make sure it's a good match for your existing equipment. Not much anybody can do for ya without some basic information...need to know those basic amp & driver specs. This is a good place to catch up http://www.bcae1.com/

Man I really like that site. I found it a while ago when I was trying to find the equation that allows you to compare sensitivity measured at different methods/standards with CEA 2006.
