It's optional. It does not hinder sharing at all.

oh yeah also our exhaust cam patch will release with the exhaust cam table(s) update.

it's very nice, bypasses certain things so that you can use the 3D table to get your exact target every time.

I too noticed messing with downshifts almost seems to require torque tables to be modified. Found it best to leave them be.

if you know who they are then ban them from access - another example of a few bad apples trashing a good thing (VFT) for the rest. That would enact a "bag party" for no other reason. Pisses me off. Come on people - grow up.

Sorry might be a dumb question, but where exactly do we get the tune packs? I registered all my stuff and VF is showing I have 5 credits available but how do I actually spend them? Can't find it in the pdf. Sorry if I missed it somewhere.
Looking to run 2.0 for my AT

You can either contact OVTune to get the tune pack, provided you purchased it off the website, or obtain it from someone else who has the tune pack you want, either by buying it from them (typically for less) or for free if they're generous.

The credits in vF are for unlocking access to an ECU version. Unlocking spends 4 credits, and you do so by opening up a map of your desired ECU version within vF

I did purchase it off the website, but nothing was ever sent or emailed to me. I did receive the actual hardware cable, just no tune files. I then followed the instructions of registering my vehicle with them and they didn't send me any tune packs after that.

Thanks for getting back to me!
I did send the ECU ID, and for some reason got a reply back about the p5flash utility (which was working fine and I hadn't asked about) but no tune files. I had only sent the vehicle info after identifying it with the tactrix cable. Am I missing something here? Again, thank you so much for helping me out, can't wait to get this thing working. Below is the reply email:

    Hello,

    Good day!

The unsupported/corrupted error usually appears when the p5Flash is not updated.

To update to the latest p5Flash, please download the P5Flash directly from this link:
    https://ovtune.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/bin/p5flash_V1.2.2.exe

Please note that when you do download this file, don't use the p5flash in the Flash Manager to upload/flash a tune. Just open this file/program directly.

Then, follow the instructions on how to flash/upload a tune.

Windows Defender/Anti-Virus software might flag the program as a virus, we recommend temporarily disabling the Anti-Virus/Windows Defender (Real-Time Protection) BEFORE and WHILE using our program. You can add it to the exceptions of the Anti-Virus/Windows Defender. Turn back on the protections AFTER you have done everything you need to do with our tuning programs.

Just a tip: Connect your laptop to your truck, using the Tactrix. Turn ignition to "On" (engine shouldn't be idling). Open the p5flash program you just downloaded. Press on the "Flash It" button then open/select the tune file from the window that will open. This is just a tip/summary but please check the instructions for a more detailed procedure.

If it still says corrupted/unsupported, then please reply back here.

Lastly, don't press on "identify" anymore since you know your ECU ID (04A60). Go straight to "Flash It". If you press on "Identify" before you press on "Flash It", it will cause an error.

    Thank you and best regards."

Identifying your current ECU ID is one thing, but is that the ECU that you want for the Tune Pack? Slightly different there as both the 2018 AT and MT have TSBs that are a significantly better base for the tunes. Are you 04A60, 04A61, 04A70, or 04A71? Folks would typically want to flash up to 04A61 or 04A71 and get the Tune Pack for one of those.

Honestly I wouldn't know the difference, this is my first time tuning and I'm learning as I go. How would I flash up to/get the base tune file for 04A61 or 71 and what would be the advantage of one over the other? Sorry, this is my first rodeo and these may be dumb questions lol.
    And I'm at 04A60

I was new to flashing also. It's all good. You seem to be reading the Instructions and understanding, so you're doing alright.

IMHO, you want to request the 04A61 Tune Pack and Unlock that ECU ID.

Doing the TSB flash is easy. You have the Tactrix adapter and a PC with vF on it, so you are most of the way there. Just follow the details in the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread in my signature. The TSB flashes make a big difference by themselves. OV Tunes over top of that are even better.

After re-reading the first post in the dev thread...
It sounds like after he changed ACIS he re-tuned the intake valve timing (and more?). Seems to me, if an OV tune doesn't have a lower ACIS setting, it is not tuned for a lower ACIS setting. IMO that, along with the testing I did, suggests we shouldn't be changing it.

This leads me to the sad conclusion that the 2.0 we A/Ts have does not include that work.

How do I flash to get Gearlock and map switching, or is that not out yet? the map I have specifically states Gearlock and map switching isnt part of the tune file.
(potentially a dumb question, so apologies in advance)
