Why would you want it warmer than 45-50 to work out in anyway? That just means more sweating.

I just decided to stop leaving snap mouse traps out during the day--I keep getting birds.:sorry:

I also need to be careful with the mouse poison as I have a nice Opossum wandering around that likes to eat it. Trying not to kill him as he'll be a good bug eater in the summer.

I'm having a ton of recent success on the chipmunks with a small double door hav a hart trap. Finish them off with a pellet gun. I catch a few birds too, but am able to let them go. Anyone want a pet cardinal if I catch him again--j/k.

In the last two weeks, the chipmunk body count is 29K, 1W(I'm sure he DOW later on). Rat traps: 12, Mouse traps: 3, Hav a Hart: 12, pellet gun: 2K, 1W(hitting chipmunks with a shitty pellet gun is hard.) Most of these chipmunks have been right in the same spot by the house.

I've only gotten 10 mice, but I still see them running around in my camera each night.

Because need to keep the wommenz happy. Also, my kids play down there now that it's a gym more than we use it.

I have the 6000w version of that in my garage. It gets it up to 50ish without too much trouble on really cold days. Just enough so it isn't miserable to work.

I wanted the 7500, but saw the 6000 for about $70 and jumped on it. I did size the circuit and wire so I could swap with the 7500 if I ever decided to. Though if I insulated the ceiling it would probably have a much better impact.

Yeah I've only had it on a couple of times and it cranks. We had the ceiling insulated too so it's pretty efficient.

I'm looking into something that will keep the barn 1st floor at 40-50F throughout the winter, might have to go propane though since electricity will be pricey.

Yeah, I would not want to maintain all the time with this unit. It costs me about $1.25/hour to run it. It's fine if I run it for an hour to bring the temperature up, then on and off while I'm working in the garage, but I only do that a couple days per month so I'm talking maybe $10-$15 tops to keep it comfortable to work.

It might not be so bad if the garage were insulated well, but it isn't and I'm probably not going to put that kind of time and money into it.

I really need to insulate and sheetrock my garage. I have so many gaps and stuff that need to get filled in too.

    No you don't.
You need to finish fixing your vehicles so that you have something to drive this winter

Just spray foam it. That would help quite a bit.

I'll never sheetrock mine. I'd have to pull out so much stuff to do it. I have 16 ft of bench bolted to the wall, another 16 ft of pegboard, shelves everywhere, it wouldn't be fun. But, I don't have any gaps and the doors are insulated. I may eventually throw some foam board up above the ceiling to prevent all the warm air from going up above to the roof. I think that's the biggest issue and the walls are secondary.

Any suggestions to insulate the doors if you're not using them? Foam board? One of the doors won't be opened as much as the side that I'll leave my truck in.

I use foam board for my basement. It works well to cover the door that goes out to the bulkhead in the winter.

I had that idea as well. I have a rather high peak on my garage.
