I should have got a picture of the guy that exploded himself into 3 pieces and was gut strung across Hwy 20 back in August after he hit a Ram 3500 towing a 27’ travel trailer and snapped the axle housing off the drivers side axle. If I was 3 minutes ahead he would have hit me.

All my high speed stuff was pretty much relegated to the racetrack. Thankfully never had an incident and stopped before I did

My 911 Turbo will do about 205. I don't think I'll be confirming that anytime soon though. Fastest I've had it was 140-something when playing with an R8 V10 on, uh, a Mexican highway.

Allegedly did 160+ in an 03 Audi RS6 on the Pendleton Autobahn (a.k.a I5 between Oceanside and the Immigration check point), in the slow lane.
Ironically we were driving to an Audi exclusive invite to thrash on R8 V10's on the Ortega Highway.

Ran a 95 Duc 916 on hwy 78 just outside of Julian towards Scissors crossing on the way to Yaqui pass then to Borrego Springs.
The group was clicking along at 85-ish and then a large rise to a 3 mile downhill grade; I nailed it; got to 145, thought I was fast until an R1 blew by me; wind turbulence sent me into the other lane... done with that shit...

I did 157 on the autobahn and it was so mentally demanding I was done after. Gives you a real respect for F1 and other race car drivers.

the autobahn is the best thing ever invented, it’s give you a lot of respect for the Germans because of how they drive and follow the rules of the road.

It’s also sweet doing 140 MPH and get passed like your standing still by a group of Lamborghini’s and Porsche's

also, it’s one of the few places i ever got a speeding ticket :anonymous:

I got to witness a street race by Alderwood mall. It was a 90s mustang and matrix. The matrix took a slight lead off the line and held it to about 95, then both cars slowed down for lack of road. Lynnwood can be a sketchy place.

I estimate that my truck now will peak out about 96. I've only had it up to about 85 though and she has to work for that. If I get around to replacing some springs in the engine, I can raise my RPM limit, but that is a while out before I get there.

whats better is when youre doing like 90 and a station wagon towing a traveling trailer behind it passes you like your standing still

Theyll use anything to tow, it’s actually pretty amazing how well they do with a lack of trucks compared to the U.S. i lived in Dortmund for about 4 months and only saw one full-size pickup. Hi-luxes and midsize trucks were fairly scarce as well.

i was stationed down in Illesheim and besides obvious american trucks, i never saw any. I had my Tacoma over there and it was mostly stock. had the lift on it but still stock tires and wheels. felt way bigger than everyone else on the road. the people that had f150s and all over there i couldnt imagine trying to get around

I was driving out SE of Bend. We were about 15 miles from LaPine on the way back to a job site. I was driving an eco boost F-150 and my buddy in his 17 taco on 35’s was in front of me. My truck was maxed at 100 and we passed a trooper. The taco pulled away from me and I got a ticket doing 104 in a 55..... Good times

Back when I was one of the cool kids (i.e. when I still had my '98 TRD w/the 3.4 wearing a genII s/c) I had my Taco up to 105, and it was still pulling. I was running 33's and the odo was spot on by mile markers, so I think that was legit. It was still pulling when I ran out of straight flat road. Never did find what the absolute top was. Wasn't picking up too much too quickly but it was definitely still moving the needle. Currently in a Raptor and it's governed at 107. Doesn't feel too bad, but wouldn't want to make any sudden inputs...Hits the top in 7th gear (1:1), then drops down thru 8, 9 and then into 10, and the exhaust note drops an octave along the way (I've turned off the artificial engine sound).

The only dipshits on the autobahn are us service members we bring over shitty driving habits. Their driving culture is so legit, it'll defintely be an American if you catch up to and have to slow down for anyone in the left lane.

And when I was there semi trucks couldn't drive on Sundays
