Finished my ScanGauge II Blend Mount installation. Had cable under headliner but wadded up on dash. Today, took off A-pillar and routed cable down then pushed it under dash. Coiled ScanGauge II cable and put behind kick plate. Wire tied Cat5 coupling to harness and made connection to OBD2 port.

Wire routing went so fast that I did the dome / map light mod. I was happy to see that diode was not necessary. I disconnected the connector, pulled the tab, and stuck a mini-blade screwdriver into each connector terminal. Prying lightly allowed wires to be pulled out and reversed (white wire in middle and white wire with stripe to outside. I stripped about 3" off end of wire to be run to dome light and stuck it into the empty slot. Reassembled the connector. When I plugged the connector back in, I made sure to capture the stripped wire on the ground wire blade and stay clear of the hot blades. I fished the wire across the headliner to the dome light. I double checked which end of the bulb turned on the map lights. I didn't have a screw the proper size so I once again stripped off about 3", fed it through the dome to the bulb side, and trapped the wire in the clip with the bulb. I may go back in and make a more permanent connection if I go in and install LEDs.

Have front hitch receiver from CBI on order for about 4 weeks now. Should be here in time for Christmas. Ordered illuminated 4x4 switch kit on eBay. Should have it next week. $$$ for mods adding up.
