Mia culpa, I just received a PM that instructed me on the proper use of "grounds" and "grinds."

Sorry for any confusion due to my incorrect use of the English language.

Nice! I just got done using my new GSI coffee set up on a fire detail in Oregon. I went with the GSI ultralight drip over, Pinnacle canister stove, and Pinnacle Soloist cook set.

    https://gsioutdoors.com/pinnacle-canister-stove.html

    https://gsioutdoors.com/pinnacle-soloist-ii-one-person-cookset.html

I really like how light the system is (drip over is less than .5 oz) and how it all fits in the cook set (with small fuel canister)! As for the coffee, I think I still prefer an aeropress or French press system when weight isn’t a concern though.

Jealous that my son had a 1lb 4.4 oz bag with 850 down from The NorthFace, at first I didn't expect there is even lighter sleeping bags on the market but I went looking and found this great bag that is just 19 oz weight!
Now I really dare this is the lightest you can find.
And while The NorthFace sleeping bag had a "Made in China" tag on its label, this guy is made just down the street, right here in San Jose USA.

Since almost every review website in Google suggest it I have invested huge $480 in an US-made goose down sleeping bag, which I didn't regret !
This is really your #1 in case you need less weight and more comfort https://wildproofgear.com/best-ultralight-sleeping-bag/

For a one-pound hooded mummy bag it was very packable, light, and decently warm. The finish workmanship are flawless. I say "decently warm" because although this is stated as a 32-degree bag, even with a Patagonia R1 hoody, tights, and socks, most night I was cold by about 3-4 in the morning. Those nights ranged between 25-35 degrees F, so I would say this is closer to a 40-degree bag. But, everyone is a bit different so keep that in-mind. For what it is, it is outstanding but if you're gonna be in sub-32 degree nights, I would suggest layers and/or a liner. The outer shell is light, as expected, so be gently with it, as expected with any ultra-light gear.

Going through my hunting/outdoor survival bag. Stocking up on MREs so ill be adding one to this bag. Plan is to rearrange stuff after that.

On the list is upgraded poncho and liner. I dont have bottled water/Nalgene, ammo, mags, calls etc. Shown. Thats all situational. Id put my woobie in this bag but I use it around the house all the time. Thus I need to buy another.

I got my South Korean MREs from Amazon. Im waiting on MRE STAR brand MREs.

Source? Amazon has Russian MREs but they are expensive.

I’d search “CR1M 2019” and so on adjusting the dates.

Scored an old 1960s Coleman 413G at a thrift store! Replaced the leather pump cup and she's good as new. This one looks to have been fired very little and will replace my 1980s 425F as my primary car camping stove.

    Just the basics
To each his own but I don't understand the interest in MREs. Maybe it has to do with having endured them in the Marine Corps. Much better options available for backpacking/camping IMHO.

Recently ordered two items for the slumber routine. First is the Exped Deepsleep MW. Second is a knockoff of the Helinox cot. Aside from being much less money it also has a pocket so you can store stuff near your head. I know it will hold my glasses, headlamp, etc at night. You can't see it in the pic but the carry sack has a handle at one end and also a molle/loop attachment strip along one side.

The Exped fits my truck sleeping platform and the cot perfectly. I'll give a report once I get to try them out.

No way I’ll pay to eat military field rations. But some like the convenience of it being prepackaged and never having to worry about defecating while outdoors.

Just another tool in the toolbox. I wanted something all in one for emergency use. Id even hand some out in a natural disaster type of situation. My wife is a military brat. She said she would die before resorting to eating MREs. Lol she also hates the smell of army.

These are the ones I ordered.

Edit. I figure now is a good time to stock up on things.
I keep forgetting to buy some cases of water.
