    Same crap everyone else got
Less than a week. But I financed at my CU where I worked so I walked down to the title clerk and she submitted everything that day. When someone asks us how long it should take, we usually say 7-14 business days. With COVID, might be longer though.

The dealer gave me a way better deal by financing through them instead of cash, so I financed through them aka SETF - South East Toyota Finance. I paid it off after a few payments to save interest.

It took a couple of weeks to show paid on the SETF site, then another 2-3 weeks after that before I finally got the title. It was all easy to do online though - I just went to their payoff section, got the required amount, and sent it over through my bank.

I went looking for the cause of a vibration sound in my truck. Thought maybe a skid was bent or loose and found this. 330C5B68-4699-4840-B5FD-F5CBB4A19F8C.jpg8855F941-CEED-43C8-A1CC-2D3C0D23CE99.jpglooks like a breather but it was just laying on top of the skid on top of the exhaust. Looks like it has started to burn/rub through the protective hose.
Do I just fish it back up through the engine bay and zip tie it, or do y’all think the hose(2nd pic) is too damaged?

You could get some more hose if you wanted or just wind some electrical tape around it and zip tie it back. That's what I'd probably do

Hose is shot. Chop off the busted section and put a coupler on it. You can get hose and coupler and clamps at any automotive store, just bring the hose section with you to size it right. Any automotive grade hose is fine - some generic radiator hose length would be fine for that. Just go in Autozone and ask the parts counter guy.

Personally I wouldn't drive in the rain until it's fixed, especially with the way it floods downtown lately. I drove through more than a foot of standing water in midtown last week.

While you're redoing it, I'd take the opportunity to extend it higher into the engine bay, just use zip ties to make sure it's out of the way of heat sources and zip tie it up somewhere near the fuse box.

Yeah. I'd replace the line. Just pull it off wherever it is connected and go to any auto parts store and buy an equal length of the same internal diameter fuel line.

I'm not sure if I can get to where the hose goes to, lol. I'll need to do more investigating with time I don't have. :bananadead:

Thanks guys. I think Im going to try and fish it up into the engine bay to zip tie it and tape up the compromised area.

Thing is I doubt this is what was causing the sound that I was investigating to begin with, lol

Looks like they just expanded on the fuel pump recall :/ glad my 2017 isn't in the cut but looks bad for some FJ and Rav4 owners. Screenshot_20201028-173307_Chrome.jpg

I guess Toyota cheaped out on the fuel pump for one year it looks like cause im pretty sure there are a metric fuck ton of vehicles that would be on that list otherwise.

So....the bad weather rolls through last night and many of our offices are without power today. So all Atlanta offices are closed today but I have to stay logged in because I'm working from home.

I don't see getting many security alerts if all our offices are closed.

    ....some managers....

I can say with relative certainty that if I were the manager and all my offices were closed, my team would have the day off unless they were working on a project with an approaching deadline.

I just had my 18 in for the fuel pump recall. I was definitely concerned about it the entire time we were out west last month but no problems. Cherokee Toyota did the recall and it took 3 hours. Haven’t had a chance to put any miles on it since but after inspecting their work it looks like the did a great job.

It is the safari snorkel but it is the one for a Hilux cause Tacoma didnt have one specifically yet so it doesn't quite fit right also i modified it to work with the TRD Cold air intake box.

I've been contemplating that Dobinsons snorkel for a few years now. With the black november sale they are doing, I might have to pull the trigger.

Of course, I'm pretty sure I need UCAs before I need a snorkel. I also want to go up to 285s, so new wheels (or spacers) and gears are higher on the priority list.

Well if its spacers your looking for i have 2 pairs one in great shape one in need of repair (missing a couple of studs) if your interested let me know as for the UCAs not specifically needed till after you get past 2.5" of lift unless you are just looking for the tune-ability of after market.
