    Rite rite.

My daughter stopped by last night and dropped off two more new beers. Going to try them out later tonight.

Starting to wonder, what angle she is shooting for... as in, if I get daddy some beers, he will buy me???

Thanks man. Its not my personal favorite style he offers, but it matches the other surrounding buildings.

Your pictures of other people working are great! You really capture the essence of supervision, while not distancing yourself too much from the laborers.

Delivery and install was like 10k. They're lucky i just supervise and dont shoot bottle rockets at them while they're working.

So the building was like 22k, delivery and install was like another 10k. The concrete was 13k in material and 3k in labor. wood, rebar and concrete prices are disgusting right now (supposedly from covid). All in, its like 45k but its built on my dads land and he insisted wood over metal. Plus like 16k for the foundation was the absolute cheapest possible - calling in favors through work and stuff.

You see...In order to save money i didn't buy a rotary laser level for 500$ to level the site. Come to find out "looks level" isn't actually level. The left front is fine, the right front is off by a mile. Which means i get to spend 500$ on fill dirt and gravel to make it level using my 500$ rotary laser level i now own. Buy once cry once. I knew better then to not buy the right tools for the job

I know i know. I'm pissed at myself. I do 3rd party consulting in the construction industry for a living. I knew that grade is difficult to tell by eye. I knew that it dove off a "little" in the front right and that it was way worse then it looked. I knew the laser level was a good investment and i ignored all that. Now i get to bring a bobcat back out, scrape up the gravel and fix it.

I never skimp on buying whats needed to do it right, but this project was so pricey i tried to save money and yet again its been a mistake.

Meh. It's a lesson I have to teach myself all the time. And recently.

Well if anyone needs to borrow a rotary laser level and receiver with an 800yd range i now have one.

Edit: @3pooches did talk me into a 9", 5hp dewalt grinder to cut 2 pieces of rebar and it was a great investment. Like fighting a buff push mower every time you use it....maybe i could have saved money here.Resized_20200923_191417.jpg
