I do think part of the reason why my company has had good luck with them is that we pair them with Automation direct power supplies, drives, HMI's etc.

The one I have here at home to play with is running off an Omron power supply that I got off ebay with no issues.

nah I don't work on the back end lol, just uploading and updating product mostly. We've got a backlog of probably 10k different items that have to go up, if I have a whole day to work on it I'm lucky to get about 200 done.

Do you guys use nema 4 enclosures? I've really only ever seen weird issues with them when they're installed in nema 1 boxes when the customer really should've had something that actually seals

My school used all automation direct stuff in the classroom and we never had an issue... other than kids hooking stuff up to them incorrectly

I had a summer job at 15 where I pulled staples out of documents so they could get run through a scanner to digitize data logs.

8hrs of pulling staples without being allowed to even listen to music on the radio. I remember those days when my job feels monotonous

I remember I had a part time gig in college working the front desk at a local gym, one day they needed me to spend my whole shift sealing up mailers to send out. Like hundreds of them. I spent probably 6 hours licking envelopes before my boss comes over and opens the desk to show me this sponge attached to a small water bottle that you're supposed to use instead of licking them.

I was nauseous for what felt like 2 days after all that fucking envelope adhesive

Yes all electronics that isnt just a junction box goes into a dust tight box.

Thats funny, Im pretty sure my school had a sponsorship or something from the local allen bradley dealer. All of our PLC's were micro logix, compact logix, control logix you get the point. We were preached to that A-B was superior to all which is why the school used it.

Except for drives. The motor controls instructor got tired of kids letting the smoke out of the expensive power flex drives every semester. So Automation Direct drives is what theyve used ever since.
