I didn't.. but considered it because it was the least expensive (and widely available) model with a manual transmission.

Damn one more reason to own a TRD SPORT.
It makes TRD OFF-ROAD owners completely go insane

Entry level Ferrari owners get kicked in the balls also!
Can you imagine the Ferrari chat rooms when you only have a “M”?

Also, Sport is the only way to pick up Aimee after her shift, even though she may shit on your seat. The OR would NEVER even be able to present you this opportunity.

I chose the sport. Test drove both off road and sport, was going to get a off road but I had to be honest with myself and know that I will not be going off road all that often if I do it will just be gravel roads to get to a campsite. Also, having a long bed is really nice as well (sport only comes in long bed in Canada). I like the ride better on road and highway which is where I will be using it majority of the time. The painted fenders, bumper and hood scoop is just bonus.

Shit happens, seems like most people don't even have the time to find a trail. No shame in that especially when most of us are in the same boat lol.

Between the two available options for 2016 MY in Canada, TRD OR in access cab and TRD Sport in DC LB the Sport has significantly better resale where I live too. We're talking nearly $5,000. Reason I say this is because I was going to say "well TRD OR has a better resale value" lo and behold, no where near as good for my model year and cab configuration.

Drove a 2018 Sport for three years. Came to dislike the scoop. Restricted vision, always had a gleen from the sun on the edges, ride over road bumps was too stiff. Bought a 2021 OR Tech/Premium/LED, the ride was softer and much better for me, the hood increased my vision by 4 inches from perspective and because of the 2021 the transmission and pedal relationship and shift points is so much better. I had the oem flash for the trans on the 18 but it still had a bad relationship between pedal and trans and the shift points were terrible. There were times when I aggressively pushed the pedal and had a lag and at times was dangerous. This one is a keeper.

The SR5 doesn't come in MT, looks like your immediate option was only one in that case.

Was the only orange tacoma with heated seats, blind spots, and sunroof..at the time I was looking...anywhere. There was one in Wisconsin, and one in Olympia.

I had the budget for either 4x4 or the premium/tech package. I knew I would almost never use 4x4 (haven't had a need in three years since buying) but I'd use the extra features of the technology package (particularly the BSM and rear traffic crossing alert) so I went with the premium package. I would feel silly buying a RWD "off road" truck and I preferred the color matched bumper so I went with the TRD sport. Also the sport was the only one with the inferno color when I went. I made the best choice for me and I'd make it again if I were to go back in time.

In Canada only the sport comes with the long box so it was the only choice.
