Thought that was pretty cool that such a high end audio company is really advertising a sound system built specifically for the Tacoma trucks.. I was visiting their website and it was on the home page... idk just figured I’d share. It has their AP5.9bit dsp amp AP690 speakers and AP2 wide range for dash corners and a sub box built to go “under the rear seats”! They definitely make good audio systems and equipment

Did you see a price for it? I can’t seem to find one anywhere. I’m betting it’s far more than the OEM+ which is the closest thing currently

@destin_meeks i didn’t see a price on the site during my browse but here’s the info I screenshotted from the site.. not at all to knock oem plus but Id bet it sounds a lot better than their system does especially if somebody knew how to tune but definitely be more expensive I’d say. Id be curious to know the price of it. Audisons lower grade stuff is not low quality at all. All audison gear is good stuff from all my reading and research and that goes without saying you’re also gonna pay for what you get C7B780D1-17FD-4980-AEBC-DE7C116A238D.jpgB3B4FCAE-E55E-4D73-B97A-6653F682C748.jpg 6AB6B6CF-A489-4021-8282-14A5A957BDEA.jpg91F64F67-E162-4B2B-8997-9EC6F8AB313A.jpg 5B10503F-FE40-4EA0-9E3E-18ADDAA8331F.jpgA759DDF4-D64D-4379-8A6E-DD345A4D6B7D.jpg 81F12BA0-F4F0-4BFF-A012-3102DDF9E171.jpg5C852885-F628-4B2F-8602-F6D781F9410E.jpg

My guesstimate would be $2400ish for the setup

I like that they used their normal stuff and just made adapters and wire harnesses to make it all work. I also like that they are running full active in the front... Would be even more interesting if they offered expansion kits to go with it. 3 way add on, rear speaker add on, things like that.

I can give you prices on some of it. What I can tell you right now is that the harness they provide is not the newest generation (theirs says 2015), but IDK if the 2020+ Tacoma has the same HU as the 2020+ 4Runner.

Here is what I ended up having to use. I have the harness built but haven’t installed it yet.

I’ll put up what I paid for some of these items later today.

    Later Today:

    AP8.9 BIT (Amp w/DSP) - $797.42
    AP 690 (6x9 woofer) - $139.95
    AP2 (2” wide range) - $159.95
    APX 165 (6.5” coaxial) - $188.95
    AP T-H-TOL01 & AP 260 P&P I/O - $85.95

Probably the AP5.9 BIT is a little cheaper but I don’t have the price for that or the Forza models.

Not a bad bottom line pricing at all considering in my opinion and with the option to use the 8.9 that allows expansion from two way to 3 way active front or add of rear channels with processing...

@dolbytone how are you liking the 8.9 amp compared to your audio control and JL HD/ twk combo? Anything audible in comparison of the amps you’ve noticed?

Im not finished with the install but I’ll update my Audison build thread when I do and leave comments on what I think it sounds like in comparison to the JL/Hertz stuff I have in the Tacoma.

I did power it on and upgrade the firmware as well as poke around the BIT software for a while. All I can say right now is that I like the JL TwK much more so far, it assumes you aren’t a moron and right now seems more flexible. The BIT only gives you a graphical EQ line to drag around while the TwK allows you to directly enter values for frequency/cut-boost/Q.

I’ll know more once I go to tune the 4Runner.

Audison makes some incredible stuff. I had one of the LRx5.1 amps in my last Corvette build and it was so clean. I would definitely be interested in installing one of these in my truck.
