    We use the cherry flavored. I usually go for sugar in a drink then feed them instead of the glucose gel. That shit is sticky af and gets all over your gloves then you stick to everything.

    my brother and his wife are doctors and they’ve seen some non compliant type 2’s (kinda goes with the territory...) get multiple amputations and still not take insulin. There are non compliant type 1’s, too of course.

    I got diagnosed about a year ago and have been fortunate not to DKA or pass out so far. Measured a 34 one day. That’s the lowest I know of. 500 when I got diagnosed. 118 pounds and they gave me some metformin after IV insulin in the ER haha. Obviously not type 2 and insulin got me back up to a healthy 137 pounds.

    I'm type2 and thankfully only take glipizide. Last h1c was 12.7 so dr forced me to lose some weight. Down to 225 from 268 since January. I still drink soda....diet shit is nasty af. Thankfully I've never had an "episode" yet.

    Kidney stones on other hand...been hospitalized twice. First found unconscious by my ex wife - we were separated at the time but "working on it". Stopped by my condo while on way to work for some nookie lol and I was on the floor. Had lithotripsy procedure - still ended up passing 2 stones 9mm and 10mm and a load of sand.
