not there when U drive ....... where U drive ........How U drive

dont know what IF any mods have been done correctly IF at all

thats causing that much stress to the front end

maybe mechanic dude is just taking them out o box................putting them in

not lubing them & backing them down tooooooo tight

id buy good damn bearings move on to a better shop

If the dealership buys you an extended warranty rolled into the purchase price from a third company .

Just a theory bill the warranty company for x amount of work do just enough to get the truck out the door.

From the amount of Work I would think your putting on 100,000 km a year

With that much trouble with install or parts I'd be inclined to see if I could find a good lower mileage factory upright with the bearing and CV joint all still attached and see if I could get the whole setup installed. 3 bolts and a CV spline would be almost impossible to mess up.

Here’s something worth mentioning. There are 3 seals per side of the truck. 1 outer and 2 inners. If you buy a bearing and hub assembly it comes with the outer seal already installed. Many people cheap out and don’t replace the inner seals, which leads to water getting into the bearing.

“Replacing the wheel bearing is an easy job. I’ve done it lots of times. I’ve got the time down to 20 minutes per side.”

These are the guys that are just slapping in bearings without doing the inner seals. That’s why they’ve done it lots of times.

I agree. It’s an installation issue.

I wouldnt be afraid to ask them for the alignment numbers before they re-align your truck as well as the alignment numbers after they re-align your truck .
If your tires are rotated every 5k , you shouldnt be eating tires that quick either

Quite concerning to have this much extensive work done on the truck already. Given this info, I am inclined to say that it's been either heavily abused offroading or history of a front end accident that is not reported on a carfax.
My advise is remove the spacer lift and go back to stock height to assist with troubleshooting. Then have a thorough front end suspension inspection by a Toyota dealership, not Kia. Once your issues are resolved, then you can go back with a more quality lift than a spacer lift.

I know i have not heavily off roaded it. I have done some minor stuff but mostly on back logging roads. I have not done that for the past 3 years. I can not say what was done with it before i purchased it. As for the front end guess that is a good possibility but all this work has been done since i have bought it and i just drive normal roads and most of the kms are hwy when i go visit family..my everyday driving is pretty minimal. Yes i am thinking i should have the spacer removed as well as the dealership does not know who put it in. Thank you for your advice!

That would still be very unusual to have that many items fail on a Tacoma that stays mainly on road since you owned it. It would be better to diagnosed at stock height to eliminate any excess suspension or driveline angles created by a lift. No reason for WBs to fail that quickly whether it's bought from the dealership or even Autozone.

something to think of here, if the CV nut isnt being torqued and its over tightened or under tightened, the bearings will not last long.

I've had 4 done over 266k miles in 15 years. ONE of those was done by a different mechanic on a Sat. It failed too soon. I would change shops and never look back. Once a mechanic learns a bad habit and gets away with it, it's etched in his brain. He'll even train newbies to do it wrong. The shop should have flagged it by now, corrected the problem. They didnt, and are just as guilty as the sloppy mechanic. Run screeming away.

This would fall under poor installation to my way of thinking

Are the second generation bearing more prone to failure then the early first generation mine are original at just under 250,000 miles??

Though I have all the goodies to change them.

^^^ This. Even if you use high quality OEM parts, if an inexperienced mechanic presses the hub and bearing together incorrectly, you're SOL pretty shortly.

They’re much more common to fail in my experience. But not once a year kinda common

The OE front bearings seem to typically last ~100k miles. If you're changing them every year or two you're either getting cheap generic bearings, or something else is very wrong- seals or installation.
