I have this exact same issue on my 2020 TRD Off-road Access cab. I am contemplating removing the driver's side panel of the AC door, and putting a sock or some stuffing underneath the plastic panel. Hopefully that will deaden the rattle!

    Mine doesn’t rattle but

the empty passenger seat shakes like Michael J Fox. It doesn’t make noise but good god, I occasionally look over at it while on smooth highway tarmac and it’s having a damn seizure

Never had any rattles with the doors, but had an immediate issue with the door switch setting off the master warning led in the dash every time i drove the truck. Thanks to TW it was quickly solved after going to this site. Door switch was erratic apparently having dirty internal contacts. Took out the switch and sprayed it with deoxit cleaner, and reinstalled it back in...no more an issue.

Hahahaha I was just parked eating mcdonalds in my truck idling 15 mins ago and the passenger seat was going apeshit as you describe and I found it funnier than I should have. When I have the AC on it idles just right to make that seat go bonkers. Thankfully mine makes no noise either lol. Kinda cartoonish honestly.

All I am going to say is you will either get used to the rear door rattling around on rough roads or you wont. I have lived with my 2005 for 215,563 miles. I wouldn't trade the truck for the rattling and banging of the back doors for a new truck even if it was given to me.

Only thing that will rattle in my access cab is the seat belt if not used. The latch rattles against the plastic door trim when going down a rough road.

Was about to post this. The seat belt rattles against the plastic door.

It’s been a few months since this post but I was wondering if you pulled your access cab door panel and had any luck locating your rattle? I can pretty much reproduce my rattle by pushing in on the access cab door panel just above the speaker location. Sounds like some of you have found busted clips. Is there a clip in the middle there?

Yes. There is a clip in the middle of the panel.

Well, that sounds promising based on the noise it makes when I push around the speaker area. It doesn’t make that noise on the passenger side. Did you have any trouble pulling the panel? Thanks!!
